Shoot! Sunday night we ran the Texas border from McAllen to El Paso. The temp dropped to the 80s for about 20 minutes before 4am. At midnight in was over 100 and by dawn south of Carlsbad NM it was 106 and 109 before noon.

They did? WTF?

Why tf would they do such a stupid thing? Can you add it at all? Are they going the Toyota route and charging a subscription for remote start even from the key fob?

Hotter than hell in Texas. Bought the wife a Cherry Lime Aid at Sonic.....got it at 3:57 so it was half off happy hour. THEN I went to HD for a quick plumbing part.

Kept the truck running, used the keypad to lock and unlock while AC was PUMPING.

FREEEEEEEEEEZING INSIDE!

This truck has GREAT AC!

Yeah, I've done 9 years in northern climates worse than Toronto.

Give us a holla some time from about December 15th through April 15th and let us know how the engine block heater and all that other stuff works.

AC works in about 30 seconds. Can't say the same for a heater.

lol, well here in the GTA we are pretty sheltered from both snow an temps. Moderated buy proximity to Lake Ontario.
Snowfall in recent years (especially early winter) is gradually decreasing and temps increasing. I will take it over those 110+ temps,. TY.

Haven't had a block heater in 30 years but I do recall vehicles equipped with one warmed up much faster.. early tech..

Has anyone had a drop off of MPG? I have the hybrid and since it has been so hot, my mileage sucks. Under 30.
Yes, been bad, have seen a share of under 30mpg for shorter trips. Yesterday used tricks and got 51mpg at lower 80s in the AM. after a mini heat stroke playing with my new solar panels and portable power station, I drove home at 7pm 104 degrees with max cold entire trip. Got 38, don’t recall the first half of the trip, so no effort in good mpg.

Triple digits here, near Phoenix-

My mileage always takes a big hit in the summer, regardless of what I'm driving...

I was concerned about how well the AC would work, sitting at stoplights running on electric power only-

It works great, but drains the (small) battery and hits the city mpg pretty hard...
