Does anyone else experience stiff legs walking after driving Maverick a couple hours?

Maybe it is just me getting old but after driving couple hours on trip driving my 23 Mav Lariat my legs are stiff trying to walk for a few minutes. I feel very comfortable while driving. Road trip 10 hours. I don't have the issue driving my other vehicle. I am guessing it is because I cannot adjust the angle of the bottom seat since it is set in one position and can only be adjusted forward/backward up/down (no tilt).

I just drove my new XLT 200 miles then returned same distance next day. My never well-padded butt ached horribly by the second day. I stopped at a Target and bought a LARGE and thick faux sheepskin decorative pillow (about 24” square and 6-8” thick). Immediate relief. Sat higher relative to rear view mirror, rear window and tailgate. Nice. Plus I felt like an over the road trucker with an air suspension seat. No more feeling road bumps and imperfections. Sitting on a cloud. Had to raise steering wheel, though. Not as simple for sliding in onto seat but worth every cent of the $30 cost. And despite being 78 years old that does not seem to be the problem since in early April I drove a 2021 Nissan Rogue in 5 days from Indiana to San Francisco area via Albuquerque (Wyoming I-80 was closed due to a spring snowstorm) and was comfortable for the entire trip. So I attribute my seat pain to a mismatch between my anatomy and the seats in my new vehicle. The 1997 Mazda B4000 it replaced had seats as comfortable as any in my living room. But 219k miles made it ready to replace. My wife wanted to swap the seats!

I asked my brother what he thought about his new Maverick Lariat. He said, I'm going to have to make some changes to the seat. He said I know I won't be able to go far with the way it is. I believe that pretty well sums it up, when the report of a new vehicle has got to be changes for it to work?

So, you can adjust the seat in a way that the front can be elevated, and the rear lowered? Thus giving more support to your legs behind your knees? like my 2006 Explorer Eddie Bauer? That's exactly what I need! I wish I was as wealthy as you to be able to afford such luxury.

I don't know, but I'm 3 weeks shy of 72, 6 ft, 230 lbs, and no issues in mine. Maybe because my lower back isn't the same as it was when I was 27 and I've gotten used to aches and pains but haven't experienced any of the problems in my XLT as it seems everyone else has.

To be fair, it happened to me a few weeks ago with the loaner F-150. It think it is just age...

Wife and I drove 6+ hrs today from north Atlanta to Wytheville, VA, in our Mav XLT. We traded off driving about every 90 minutes.

Driving or riding itself was very comfortable. I’m 6’3”. But when I got out of the truck, I was stiff and sore. I don’t blame the Mav for this. I blame my age — 75 yrs.

It's tedious, but install the adaptive cruise control. Then your feet and legs can do whatever they want while you are driving. Heck, for the most part your hands can too.

At 76; I have stiff legs after driving a few hrs. LOL

Can ACC be installed in a Mav XL or XLT? I certainly don’t have such skills. I would be afraid to even pay someone to do this. I would only trust my dealer.

ACC should be made on option on all Maverick trim levels beginning with the 2024 MY.

I'm 62 and just 4,540 miles in my AWD XLT in 4 days of driving (over a 7-1/2 day trip) with my longest day at 1,296 miles, and honestly the seat is perfect for me.

I use cruise control most of the time, and stretch my legs once in a while, but I found the Mav to be perfectly comfortable.

I do walk 6 to 8 miles a couple times a week, so maybe that helps me keep my legs from fatiguing. There's no doubt that as we age, we have to do things to keep from feeling pain : )

I get the same thing setting anywhere on anything for a few hours. standing for a few minutes restores circulation and mobility, getting old isn't for the weak.

I have figured out how to sit in it comfortably. Bought 6-1-23 and have 1600 miles on it already. I do wish I could drop the front down a 1" or so.

But the programming for it all is already in your automobile. Just needs a radar sensor hooked up and for the programming to be switched on.

It is all documented well.

Drove 4 hours today and bumper to bumper traffic and barely ever touched the gas pedal, brake or the steering wheel in my XLT.
