Does anyone REALLY know the delivery process after Mavericks are unloaded in rail yard?? Car buying is generally a real PIA but this experience is BEYOND FRUSTRATING. My age(70) probably has something to do with it, but the communication on the part of Ford Corporate is not customer friendly. The worst part is when you are given an estimated delivery date after shipment and then have it pushed out further and further every several days. Why not give an HONEST reason as to why your truck has to sit for weeks on end. Is there a definite procedure for the trucking companies or is it luck of the draw. Is there really a truckers shortage or another reason for the delays?? If they know its going to be a month JUST SAY IT don't prolong the agony. P.S. I ordered mine In February of 22 so still consider myself lucky to have one built-just hope I get to drive it awhile before I take the ultimate DIRT NAP!:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

There is trucker shortages but there can be other reasons why any vehicle can sit. Rail car could show damage and could sit inside car waiting for damage assessment of cargo. After unloading it can sit waiting for a full truckload heading to generally nearby locations that a driver will deliver to. Some drivers will refuse loads that are headed to or through unsafe locations. Plus many more reasons. Some things can happen quickly and some cannot. Perhaps Ford will have to inspect all vehicles in all railcars even the ones that did not leave the track in the 1-1.5 mile long train wreck recently in Arizona?

Ford has ZERO control on the transportation process. Neither does the dealer. It is totally in the hands of the railroads and transport companies. Itmay wait at the factory for days waiting for a railcar to be available for loading (there is a shortage of the vehicle transport railcars). It may take three weeks to go from factory to the dealer like mine. Or it may take 9 months like the owner of a Ford dealership had to wait for his personal order to be delivered. Ford doesn't know how long the railroad and transport will take for each vehicle, they can give an average.
All you can do is be patient and wait or you can drive yourself crazy.
