Waiting on Maverick to Move from Chicago Shipping Yard

Has anyone had their Maverick sit in a stock yard for a while before it is delivered to the dealership?

Our Maverick has been sitting in Chicago MC Ramp 79 for last week & a half. The Ford Tracker site's last update was 5/14. Our dealerships last update from their VIN tracker was also on 5/14.

Our dealership is in Lafayete, IN....which is only 2 - 2.5 hours away.

A while back, a couple Mavericks sat in Dallas area yard for nearly a month. Depends on when they have a transport going your way. Other times they are in and out. I got lucky in that mine stayed in railyard only overnight and was out the next day.

My Indy-bound Maverick is sitting at Ramp 79 as well. Chat rep estimate was 5/23 (yesterday) to 5/29, so we'll see...

Friday will be 4 weeks for me. Sitting at Orlando train yard. My tracker was originally 4/28-5/11. Now it's up to 5/19-6/01

Same situation with me…. No updates since 5/14, and stuck at the Chicago MC Ramp 79. Ford Chat has been telling me my delivery is scheduled between 5/25-5/31.

Mine has been outside of Houston since May 10th. The dealer thinks they might get it on the 28th - June 1st

Mine Hybrid XLT has been sitting in a chicago rail yard since 5/16 And I live in chicago. I wish I could just pickup myself. My arrival window ended yesterday (5/25). I think they should do it like pizza, arrive within the window or its free. Keep em accountable.

Where is your dealer located?

Mine is about to ship from the factory soon and likely be dropped-off in Portland before going on the truck to Seattle.

And, according to chatter on the West Coast sub forum, months ago thieves broke into the Portland rail yard and have been cutting-off the catalytic converters on vehicles in the holding lot which explained some of the delays.

Being new to the forum please search the many previous threads on this.

Are they really in the stock yard with all the cattle? I think they get preferential rides first. Longest wait I have heard has been 9 months. One to two months is not uncommon. Ford nor the dealer has any power to move them out of the drop yard any faster, even if the dealer were across the street. And since it is a hybrid you better hope it doesn't go into deep sleep mode and not start.

What you are saying could be totally correct because the Ford dealer cannot give me any information but the Ford customer service number gave me an insurance code AMRO. If someone could just tell me what happened I’m good with that, but it’s frustrating that no one will say anything. Thanks for the input.

I have a feeling they are doing bulk pickups. possibly waiting for other shipments to come and they send hauler to rail yard. I could be wrong

Mine was sitting in KC a few days However I called Ford and found out the name of the trucking company that my Maverick was scheduled with. I called the company but they could not give me any info only Ford/dealer can receive that info. I called Ford and got the EXCELLENT rep and he called the trucking company (I was on hold) and I received specific info and where my Maverick was atm and when it will be at the dealer At the end of that week the Maverick was at my dealer
