After 6 months and 5,000 miles, I have had no issues at all. I am quite pleased.

Hmmm. I drive like I'm 20 years your senior and I'm still only at 39.3 over the first 2k. I expect it to go down some with more summer highway trips and I'm adding a bed cap. I like seeing total mpg vs. a single trip. What's your avg? I must be in North East Virginia. Roads are so crappy I can't get quite as good mileage.

I'll say this. I averaged 27 mpg over 100 miles hauling my fat bike into the wind, up big mountains with camping gear. If you really plan on having some weekend camping fun on a regular basis get the eco boost. If you're not in a top 20 metro area, get the eco boost. Like to speed on the highway, haul trailers, etc? - eco boost. I'm happy with the Hybrid. I wouldn't change my build one bit!

My manually computed MPG over 4,871 miles is 34.82.

That would be materially higher if not for the way I drive. My Hybrid is used as a daily meals on wheels delivery vehicle on the farm. In the spring and fall I can get half the chores done before the gas engine comes on. But in the summer and winter the engine comes on to keep me warm or cool. I may only get 20 MPG when doing chores.

I live in a rural area, so there is very little city driving, at which the Hybrid excels.

Finally, I LOVE the Hybrid Sport Mode!!! It is absolutely adorable that the Hybrid fabricates engine noise and shift points - so you can pretend you are driving a real old-fashioned car! I don't hypermile, I drive like it like a rented mule, which I still enjoy at 70 years of age. I still get very impressive fuel economy in my mind.

Nice! I was just looking at those Scamp 13s, never had a camper but thinking about one. Your setup looks like it's pretty close to to the max towing/payload numbers but I have to assume that you aren't having any issues. Care to comment? I'd love to hear how it handles. TIA
max towing is 2000 lbs. scamp 13ft is 1550 lbs plus some extra weight for water and gear inside it. Should be fine right?

i have had no issues. Can barely notice it is towing it. Of course fuel MPG goes down. Mine settled on about 25-26 MPG when towing the Scamp.

I'd say you are the poster child for living on the road with a Maverick Hybrid at 30k+ miles. Happy motoring and safe travels!

960 miles in , just had an orange wrench light pop on and off when starting once. Not sure what that was but didn't flag anything in the app. Averaging 40.3 mpg, up and down hills and highway

2022 Hybrid, it will be a year in 2 weeks. Just under 23K. this is my daily driver. So far:
Can't do the airbags, no parts, got backed into last August, still not fixed, no parts, very minor scrapes. I can live with. Routine oil changes and tire rotations every 6k or so. We are happy.
I asked my wife if she wanted to sell the almost paid of truck, got a hard no, with a loud, I love this frickin truck, so we are good. If they come out with a plug in hybrid or an AWD hybrid in the next couple of years, I will order another one.

Ended up doing 1266 miles no issues, but still worried everytime I turned the key. Didn't want to get stranded so far from home!

No, its a terrible truck - I will purchase yours for 18K no questions asked as long as it hasn't been totaled. I guess what Im trying to say is anyone that states " I’m starting to feel I made a mistake buying the new generation Maverick. " you should sell now when you can get more than you paid for it originally.

So, you have been part of this forum for a while but need to hear "positive experiences " ?
It seems to me that posts about the Maverick Hybrid have been overwhelmingly positive. Have I missed something?

1,200 miles in on my hybrid XLT and it’s been flawless. I’m loving the truck.

My 2022 hybrid built February 2022 has been in the shop for a month after airbag replacement..
More on that on a different post..
I’m starting to feel I made a mistake buying the new generation Maverick.
I get that the forum is a place to gather information, and it has been helpful for me.
But I could use a few positive Maverick experiences.
Mine's likewise been in the shop for three weeks following air recall-related issues. Mine was built a few weeks before yours and I've got the no-start/no-crank recurring issue.
Other than those two things, it has been great!
