I wonder how long it takes for it to come in the mail? I registered 2 weeks ago and Im only 2 hours away...

I wonder when do they send this "paper work"? I registered a few weeks ago and Im only 2 hours away. All I have is the receipt I printed out when I purchased it
They won’t send them out until after preregistration closes on April 18. Show is still more than two months away, and they have three other events to deal with first, in April and May.

*** But I have an email out to the Ford show manager, and will ask him when he gets back to me on another question.

No worries, thanks for the heads up.

Members of the Maverick Truck Club (all of you on this forum) have been invited to gather June 2-4, 2023, at the 2023 Carlisle Ford Nationals show in southcentral Pennsylvania, which is billed as the largest all-Ford show in the world.

The event manager for this major three-day show just told me that he will set up a FREE 20x20 tent for us on the Maverick class field IF we can get 25 trucks registered by April 18, which is also the deadline for discounted registration.

Showfield registration is $63 if you register by April 18; $70 afterward, and at the gate. That gets you admission for two people for all three days, plus a place for your truck in the reserved Maverick class on the showfield.

Online registration is NOW OPEN — Just make sure you select "Maverick Truck Club" from the drop-down menu when you register, so you are counted toward our total.

As a side note, both Ken Appell, manager of the Ford Nationals, and Bill Miller, owner of Carlisle Events which runs this show, are Maverick owners. (Ken has a 2022 XLT AWD with the Ecoboost engine in Alto Blue ... and has already registered to show his truck with our group.)

Ken tells me they tried to get a Maverick group together for last year's Ford show, but obviously not enough of us out there yet in 2022.

So ... Let's see if we can make this happen!

If you are at all interested in attending, get your registration AND your hotel reservations in SOON, as this is a popular event. Camping is also available in a lot just down the street from the fairgrounds where the show is held — so tow your camper if you have one, but get your space saved there as well (through the event registration).

*** You are welcome to gather with the club, of course, if you are still waiting for your truck. You can register with another Ford ... or buy spectator tickets ***

* PLEASE FILL OUT THE SURVEY ABOVE
so we can track interest
in what could be the first MAJOR gathering of Mavericks. *

Would of loved to if I would get my Maverick. Had some great ideas and mods for it. Hopefully you will plan one for next year. I will keep my fingers crossed.

What I am talking about, is a zippered folding cover made out of light canvas that will hold all of your Ford Maverick manuals.
I have one for my Ford Focus and possibly one in a Escort. I will have to use one of them when if ever I get my truck.

So sorry for all you hybrid customers left in the lurch. It was bad enough waiting more than a year for our XLT EB ... Can only imagine how frustrating it must be to still be waiting.

I just registered!

I have been to all but 3 of the Carlisle Ford National events. I missed the inaugural show (didn't know about it) and the 2 years that my kids graduated high school.

We always arrive around lunch time on Thursday and head back home on Saturday evening. We are about 250 miles away.

I usually hang out in the 'other' Maverick club as I have a couple of the early Mavericks.

Here is a picture of my truck the day I picked it up (3/19/22) with my mostly original paint '72 Maverick Grabber.

Wow, that’s great, Greg. My other car is a ‘66 MGB, so have only ever been to the Carlisle Imports show

Are you bringing your new Maverick? Hope so!

Did you register under Maverick Truck Club? Hope so!

In any case, you can be our ambassador to the early Mavs. So cool that you have both. It would be neat. to line up the Mavericks old and new for a photo — but don’t know when or where we would set that up.

8400 miles round-trip and two small children. I’ll be there in spirit.

@Sarah Davis and I are really thinking we might attend the event each day. Sounds like a good time.
Excellent excellent excellent! Because it will be an excellent time.

Would Long McArthur be interested in contributing to the fun? We’re looking for swag bag goodies and/or stuff for our prize drawing, big or small.

Send me a message if you have any thoughts along those lines.

I’m officially registered , now where is everyone staying at ?
Unfortunately, we didn’t get started on this in time to book a block of rooms anywhere or otherwise coordinate lodging.

Hotels located in Mechanicsburg or indicated as Harrisburg West are within easy driving distance. (Hotels in Carlisle are pretty much all booked up already by veteran Ford show attendees.)

On the other side of town (southwest of Carlisle) Shippensburg is a good option. Since you’re coming up from the south, that’s probably the side of town you want to be on.

East or west of Carlisle, clusters of hotels can be found at most I-81 or I-76 (Pa. Turnpike) exits.

You’ll have a 20- or 30-min, drive each day of the show … But hey, you LOVE driving your Maverick, right?

You COULD try the Lodging link on the Carlisle Events site, which is through the local visitors bureau. Don’t know if these places reserve a certain number of rooms for people booking through Carlisle Events, but can’t hurt to try.

Official Hotel and Lodging Accommodations

You can also try calling the Cumberland Valley Visitors Bureau directly, and they can help:: 800-216-1876.
