There is an awd ecoboost mav out there for sale with 112k on it as well, someone looked up records of it and had minimal issues. Think the ecoboost 2.0/awd drivetrain will prove to be pretty reliable. The guy in this video has beat the crap out of it too, bigger tires, mud/snow, etc and he seems really happy with it at 70k.Pretty good testimony, 70K with no issues.
I have no personal "proof" but a lot of my fellow Ford Club members have spoken highly about it at the summer weekend car drive in shows over like 8 years now. I have no reason to think they would lie to a fellow club member. No one has spoken of having any major issues. Granted I would say probably 50% are real old vehicles or later model V8's that the concern does not apply to. Guess I will find out eventually since mine only has 3,000 miles on it so far. I have no fear with the engines, it will be maintained well and if it becomes an issue so be it, I'll have the walnut blasting done and drive on, it's not something that will break the bank.Is this proven to work ? Just curious-
I can break anythingHaters will hate. That's fine, makes no difference to me. I love mine and the capabilities it provides with the AWD and 4K Tow that I need.
Because those of us who have experience zero issues don't port to complain / brag about it?Why does it seem, based on posts on here and other forums, the Hybrids have more issues than the Eco
I am sure those that have issues even with the eco post, but it surely seems the hybrids have more issues and recalls.Because those of us who have experience zero issues don't port to complain / brag about it?
Take it in to Ford. What is the mileage? Any symptoms? Any driveability issues?
..More hybrid issues. I'm just keeping mine just in case there's a class action lawsuit I can get a settlement check!
Taking into account emotional damage! Lol! You come out with our dream truck only to be plague with problems!
I know it has to be low cost to make but I would have preferred a solid hybrid engine over the other useless features like lane keeping assist, auto wipers and headlights, auto hold, etc...
I just want a solid hybrid drivetrain and performance like the Rav4 in a truck form!
YupBeing trolled......

I was thinking, glad I didn’t get a hybrid. Funny thing, that is.Sorry you’re experiencing these issues but it’s amusing how many people are saying “glad I didn’t get the hybrid.” I have a hybrid and it’s been amazing! Most hybrid owners love their hybrid mav. I’d buy another 10 if given the opportunity.
I was literally saying that exact thing 1 year ago when I bought this. Take heed of my post. This is no troll, or joke by no means. I’m so close to just calling up an attorney and seeing my options. First it was the surging which got fixed, now it’s the exhuast system, which got backordered, which them spewed out more issues such as engine misfiring, and now electrical systems aren’t functioning correctly. The ford maverick is still a driving “experiment” as quoted from my friends and people I know. I am waiting patiently to get it fixed in March hopefully but I am so close to just ditching this truck in general, and trading it in after repairs that should happen in March.I was thinking, glad I didn’t get a hybrid. Funny thing, that is.
