All right, what follows is a has been patient Ford customer, who has had it with Fords communication. This complaint is in regards to shipping, not the vehicle itself. I'm still waiting to get my order, which was in Oct 2021. Can't complain about a vehicle I'm still waiting for. Certainly hope it is worth the wait. This rant concerns shipping and Fords lack of communication. So here I go on my little rant.

I call Ford Customer Service (FCS) every once in awhile and also my dealer weekly. I also view the Ford Customer Order Status page daily. Last update for this page was Feb 14th. That page shows my Maverick was built January 30th and NO shipping info.

Both FCS and my dealer advised me my vehicle was built January 12th and 14th. With that information, I just assume the vehicle went into production on the 12th and ā€œbuiltā€ (completed) on the 14th. I will go with this information and disregard the 30th of January, as provided by the Ford Customer Order Status page. What is interesting, on the Ford Status page there is a statement that says the following: "Your vehicle has been built and we are arranging shipment to your dealer. This step could take a few days to a week.ā€ Even if I went with the built date of the 30th of January, then that would make the ETA around February 6th. So considering my vehicle was actually built Jan 14th, then ETA should have been around January 21st. It hasn't even left the factory yet!

I was given an ETA earlier from my dealer of Feb 15th. FCS told me Feb 19th on Monday Feb 13th. Todays call (2/16) to FCS they now advise me ETA March 16th and that my Maverick is still sitting at the factory, what my dealer also told me.

I have been reading of individuals on this forum that placed their orders in Sept 22 and are starting to receive their orders now. True, many if not all of those Sept orders are ICE and not hybrid. The point I’m trying to bring out is that their vehicles get produced and SHIPPED pretty quickly. So I have information that my vehicle was built Jan 14th and remains at the factory, pending shipping. Going with the ETA date of March 16 provided today from FCS, means a two (2) MONTH shipping period. That is totally unacceptable!

If by chance Ford discovered a problem with the vehicle during the final check or has learned of issues that need to be addressed before shipping, then by all means let FCS and the dealership know and letting the customer know would also be nice. I can deal with that a least. I wouldn’t be happy about it but certainly knowing what the hold up is would help me be somewhat understanding. So here I sit now at 496 days since my original order and all I have to go on is knowing that my Maverick is ā€œbuiltā€ and is sitting in the Mexican desert pending shipping.

Surely there has to be someone at Ford that can be contacted to find out what is going on? Am I the only one in this situation? My dealer has received and delivered many Mavericks to date. What's the hold up on my shipping? March 16th for an ETA is unacceptable! OK, I'm finished venting. I do feel a tiny bit better letting out some steam. I will now move my vote in the "time to receive" poll from the 400 club over into the 500 club. ☹
Do you feel better now? You got it all out, lol

Something seems odd definitely, mine sat at factory for about a week after built waiting for rail car but shipped Jan 28 was at dealer feb 11 in Northern California. Keep bugging ford mo co and dealer see if they can get info from ā€œVinViewā€.

So I got only a few phone calls from my dealership letting me know the progress. One in November to tell me it was scheduled. One in December to say it was built and on its way. Then a call in January to say it's ready for me to pick it up, with a tone of "we got it earlier than expected".

I get the feeling they were in the dark as much as we are about scheduling.

I just picked up my Maverick from the dealer three hours ago and this is what the tracker sight says:

We have a pretty similar timeline and location, this gives me hope šŸ˜‚

Out of curiosity, what date does the tracker list for last updated?

Last update on tracker 2/14. However, got an email from Ford today (2/17) saying my Maverick has shipped and gave an updated ETA of Mar 18 - Mar 24. A couple of days past the date of 2/16 given me from Ford Customer Service when I called them on 2/15. Even though the ETA is further out, at least I know the vehicle is finally on the train and no longer parked at the factory. I'm optimistic now. :)

Yes, matter of fact I do feel better. Now get this, I actually did the happy dance today because of the email I received from Ford. Ford advised me my Maverick has shipped and is on the way. ETA given as Mar 18-24. So no more whining and sniveling coming from me. I'm a happy camper now. :)
