I've been getting the 45-day "disappointment" emails, so Ford definitely knows about it. Checked with Ford Chat several times. Same story every time... Priority 10 - Unscheduled Clean.
Absolutely sorry to hear. I’d tell them to fuck off at this point. Totally unbelievable

In the 470 day club with a cancelled VIN sitting at p2 since November. I can only assume my dealership allocations are the problem.

How much time does it usually take between build date and delivery?
That I’m not sure of. Dealership says usually 4-6 weeks. My son received his “Built” email and the following week received a call from the dealership saying it was in. Two weeks later received another email stating that it was being shipped. So, who knows.

Dumb question, have you searched dealers for a new non marked up mav ? Or carmax & vroom for a low mileage one. Prices have dropped. I do know someone that order his, was taking a long time to get. Actually convinced his dealership to sell (if it happens) a cancelled order that came in and then they sold his for a mark up.

Hello all! My XL hybrid w/ hitch was scheduled this week (ordered 9/15/23 and confirmed on 9/16, Alabama Buster Miles Ford) and I was given a build date of 3/27. I know that date can change but I was wondering if anyone knew an estimate of how long once the build stats is it before you would normally get the truck delivered give or take? Thank you!

EDIT: I just saw a post here where someone said 4-6 weeks. Thank you!

I got my schedule email on 1/26/23 and the tracker didn't show the scheduled build date until 2/10/23. So mine took just over two weeks.

Not sure when the window sticker will be available.

I’ve read the window sticker only goes live about a week (or less) before production actually starts.

What does the priority code mean exactly. Mine is 12, my son has 16, a friend has 17 and other has 18. So far I’m the only one with the scheduled for production email.

I was just able to track my vehicle. So like 2 days from email to track. Gave specific day of 4/12 instead of week of 4/10

Good question. I know a lot of people here say it's important, but I'm not so sure. 19 is not a big priority in car sales talk. And priority 2s are getting passed by so...........feeling like it's just a number in this crazy situation.

As I understand it; a perfect storm is required for a build. Generally:
  1. A dealer gets a monthly golden ticket for <X> to be built (allocation)
  2. Ford looks down the list of this dealer’s orders, sorted by priority (golf score ranking) and within priority, by submission date time
  3. Looking at the list top down, Ford identifies the top <X> Mavericks without equipment barring builds (constraints)
  4. If fewer than <X> orders can be built, orderers are outta luck
  5. Repeat cycle next week. Somewhere along the way, the remainder goes towards dealer lot orders (I’m hazy on the particulars)
So, priority is important but only one factor. Others:
  • how many orders ahead of your son’s (incl. those you may have jumped b/c of constraints)?
  • how many of those build-ready?
  • Is your son’s build-ready?
  • and critically, how many Mavericks are allocated to the dealer monthly?
This is my understanding but am not authoritative; apologies in advance if I get any of this wrong. Tim of @fordvideoguy fame is the expert.

Makes sense, but I do not see the constrained items holding up things at this point. Ford is ramming through PLENTY of orders that have so called constraints. Since orders are being scheduled into April now, and supposedly with parts on hand rather than parts coming, the "supply shortages" are just an excuse used to explain that we have a LOT of orders and can't build them all at once.

There must be some additional selection going on (eg, who do we want to reward or make happy?).

You may be right, I have no grounding to support or dispute your viewpoint.
