I just installed these truck bed lights. They seem pretty durable. I didn't use all 3 strips, just the two sides. I posted the marine switch panel install in a previous thread.

If your truck is off , key out of it, locked, and the power to the 12v pigtails has timed out, do the pigtails get re-energized when you remote start your truck from the app?

I was just wondering if you remote started your truck. then walked up and unlocked it to lower the tailgate, could you turn on the LEDs....or do you have to start the truck to reenergize them?

Great video, planning to do the same on mine, once I get it! Although an idea was to use a magnetic switch on the tailgate and the normal switch.

Without actually testing this scenario, I am going to say "yes." The remote start will turn on the power back there.

Just tested. "No" it does not power up. Lights turn on and all that but no power to the bed. I stand corrected. Haha

Just tested. No. It does not power remotely.

I am going to use a rechargeable camping LED light and plug it in to a usb adapter at the wire plate ( got a custom 3d printed plate ) to offset the lack of power at the rear. Glad ford placed wire and fuse to the bed but wish it was done differently.
