S.E. Michigan Maverick Meet-Up Spring 2023

Hi, all. I've been in contact with the event staff at Ford's Garage in Dearborn about a possible meet-up. I've been PMing some of the Michigan members, for preliminary feedback, and Sunday May 21 (around noon) looks like a good day. It's the week after Mother's Day and the week before Memorial Day. The event staff at Ford's Garage told me they won't be putting together their event schedule for 2 or 3 weeks, so I'd like to take that time to gauge the interest of our MTC crew, and get an idea of how many Maverick owners, and their guests, Ford's Garage could expect. If the number of folks is large enough, they have private rooms for the group. I'll keep a list of interested members for the venue. Thanks! Bill

It was considered, but traffic in that area is pretty hectic.

I think they are supposed to start working on making Ford a boulevard in March between 275 and Canton Center. It would be a disaster.

Also, I'm from Canton (graduated from P-CEP in 2017) and remember hearing talk about that when I was in HS. Even then, that would have been such a mess, but I couldn't even imagine it now! And they need to find a permanent fix for Canton Center (needs a full tear out and re-pave if you ask me).

That project is not scheduled to start until next year, taking two years to complete.

Canton Center from Ford to Warren was repaved last year, did you mean beyond that 1 mile stretch?
