Looking to do a trade, my orange xlt console tray and the other smaller tray near center console for the same pieces from your XL. Doesn’t need to be local. I can ship mine if you ship yours.

I tried the same for a month with no luck. Finally went the plastic dip route on the XLT trays, gunmetal gray goes well with the blue interior

Is it the plastidip spray? Mind send me a link? I’m going to do the same.
Yes, cleaned the trays with alcohol first and let them dry. Took multiple coats. Very pleased with the results

one thing I have discovered, there are parts of the tray that will need extra attention. the spray can be a little thin in "non flat" areas, and come off easy if you bump something against it. Once it warms up, I'm going to give my tray another coat. Spray rubbed off in the area of the pic.
