Great looking Maverick. I think the problem with your tonneau cover may be a simple adjustment. Does your cover have an adjustment on each side, near the cab to tighten or loosen the cover?
I have a different brand, and after I tightened the adjustment on mine, the cover flattened out.

Here's the video that I watched for the tutorial.

To answer your question, yes, it was just a bulb switch out. I was going to replace the whole housing but it's too expensive and more time-consuming. So I kept it simple and cheap.
Thanks for posting

I finally got my fixed rail Yakima roof rack. Its installed and ready to go. I also bought a hitch rack for additional support. The roof rack is a Yakima (removable), on fixed rails. I also added a hitch rack !!

Yes, these are Ford branded OEM mudflaps ordered straight from the dealership. Although it's early to tell, so far so good on the fitment.
FWIW - They do fit well. My Ford OEM mudflaps we're installed at the factory. After reading several post about paint damage I pulled my mine off. At under 1000 miles I could see where the flaps were starting to put a crease into the paint. There is a ridge that rides on the paint. Per others posts, I ground off the ridge with a Dremel and put foam tape on where the ridge was.

How much did it cost to have the fixed rail part installed plus cost of the rail Not the cost of the cross bars just the rail part. Thanks.

with some more mods! My dad and I bought several mods for Christmas for my Maverick and I just got finished with having all of them installed. I knew this would be the week that my Maverick receives some drastic changes. I'm very happy with how everything turned out. One install I did myself whereas the other two were done at the dealership.

Mod #1: Truxedo TruXport Soft Roll-Up Tonneau Cover

PXL_20221229_174242548.jpg

I've been wanting to do this for so long and finally got around to it. This was a dealer install. I originally wanted to get a hard tonneau but they were out of my price range. A factory OEM or similar will run well over $1000! So instead I found a good deal on a Truxedo soft roll-up on Amazon Prime for only $353.00. What's great is that when it's rolled up, I have full access to the bed. However, the main reason I got it was so that the bed can stay clean and protected when not in use and to keep prying eyes from seeing what's inside it. This way I can safely make other stops while having cargo in the bed. It does need some time to take shape since the fitment is not perfect. The passenger side does not stick as well as the driver side but that's probably from being rolled up in the box. Once it's out in the heat, it will help warp it into shape and give it some flex.

Mod #2: Mud Flaps

Yet again, this is something I've been wanting to do for so long and finally got around to doing so. This was also a dealer install. I'm so sick of mud splatter getting all over the front and rear lower quarters. Hopefully this will help ease the issue. I don't expect it to be fully effective but it will serve its purpose. I mainly got these because of the look. To me, it makes the truck look tougher and more utilitarian. And it was cheap enough. I do need to hit them with some Armor All because they're not quite as dark as the plastic trim so they'll need to be blended in.

Mod #3: LED Third Brake Light/Cargo Light Conversion

PXL_20221229_173932526.jpg

I'm so happy with how this turned out! This I did myself. Thanks to the power of Youtube, I simply watched a DIY video, bought the correct bulbs, and it was just a matter of plug and play. Now the truck has the appropriate lighting it should've had from the get-go. I love the blueish-white LED hue they give off. I couldn't stand the yellow hue of the factory bulbs. Those made it so ugly and dated. Plus, LEDs last longer and burn much cooler. What's strange is that the Lariats were supposed to get an LED third brake light from the factory according to my window sticker. But it never fell into fruition. Kinda bit of false advertising. Here's my proof...

I wonder what happened. But whatever the case, I fixed it myself. It only cost me $27.00. Here's the link for anyone who is interested: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B082GNDMT8?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details

Now the Maverick mods are officially complete. Just these simple upgrades completely transform the truck. I plan on keeping this thing for awhile which is the reason for all of this. This is the first time I've ever special-ordered a vehicle and as a result, I want to have fun with it and make it even more enjoyable. Ford did such a great job with the Maverick overall. Everything from price to looks to value proposition and utility. Thank you very much for viewing and I hope you enjoyed. To all of you waiting on your '23 Mavericks, it will be well worth the wait. Have fun when it arrives!

Nice additions!
Looking at adding a tonneau cover soon as well so nice to see a finished product. What do think about adding some graphics to the side or bed sides?

You can install this rails by yourself, if you dare to drill some holes in the roof.
Other wise, let a specialist do it (like your Ford dealer).

Are these the Ford branded mudflaps? I believe there was an issue with these where they overlap the paint, causing the paint to rub off and cause rust on the exposed metal.
That issue seems to be prevented by applying Paint Protection Film (PPF) to the area where the splash guard rubs on the painted surface.

I'm not gonna make a big fuss about it to my dealer. It's not worth it and there's nothing they can do anyway. It was a decision from the manufacturer and not the dealer, probably for cost-cutting reasons. No Maverick Lariat comes with an LED third brake light. As a result, they should eliminate it off of their window sticker. But nothing the aftermarket and a simple DIY video can't fix. 😉
It is not just on the window sticker, but in the description of the Lariat. Sort of like selling you peanut butter and the only thing in the jar is peanuts to do it yourself.

The only thing is what is the dealer really gonna do? It's not their fault. It's the manufacturers fault for false advertising. The only thing I can think of the dealer could do is install an LED third brake light themselves for no charge. But is it really worth all that trouble? Not really. Something that I can easily do myself and is cheap enough is no problem for me. Plus, it gives me something to learn about from a DIY video. It's more satisfying doing it myself anyway. However, if Ford is going to continue selling the Maverick Lariat without the listed LED third brake light, they need to take that off the sticker effective immediately.

You are absolutely right. It just depends how stubborn you want to be. You are taking it well as a learning experience and seems to be okay with it as it is. Good luck and have many happy miles on the road.
