How does a color look cheap? Only the silver should look like that and that is only because it looks like they didn't actually paint the thing.Atlas blue looks cheap on every vehicle I’ve seen it on in person. Velocity blue is such a great colour. It’s a real shame Ford discontinued it on the Maverick.
It looks dingy! Flattens the side panels and makes the wheels look off center just look at the first picture in this thread. Wanted to like it til I saw a small ford SUV like thing with the color. Besure to see it in person before ordering. Its a depressing color looking like a dark bluish bruseHow does a color look cheap? Hmmm., you statement would seem a bit trashy and obnoxiously in the face of a VB owner. Not exactly a classy or understated statement from someone who seems to think they are the "cat's meow" when it comes to Maverick color selections!!!I have an order scheduled for Alto. I think it looks great. Had I been able to see Atlas in person may have considered it. Looks more blue but not obnoxious. But hard to tell without seeing in person. Velocity blue was trashy, obnoxiously in your face.
I'm happy with Alto. Dark enough to be classy and understated but still has some color and character.
Meanwhile the velocity blue looks like it's screaming for attention. It's kind of a little kids color. Atlas looks stronger, more stealthy and bright enough daytime. Here's an example from Google. I think it's a world of difference..Especially when light hits them certain ways. I wanted blue last year but I got HPR because I did not like velocity. This year I changed to Atlas. People are wondering why they discontinued velocity... That usually has a lot to do with bad feedback and low demand....or higher demand for a darker blue.I still don't get the complaints from VB people on here. They act like Atlas Blue is 20 shades darker. I honestly can hardly notice a difference. If you didn't say it was Atlas I would assume it's Velocity, not that big of a deal. Maybe when I see an Atlas and Velocity Mav next to each other.
I agree. Not that much difference. I like them both.I still don't get the complaints from VB people on here. They act like Atlas Blue is 20 shades darker. I honestly can hardly notice a difference. Yeah I almost mentioned I've seen this pic because I figured someone would post. I just want to see it on two Mavericks because the curves and everything of two different vehicles and skew it a bit. I admit it looks like more of a difference in that pic but without seeing them side by side it isn't very noticeable to me. I'm also color blind so maybe it looks more noticeable to others. Here's an example from Google. I think it's a world of difference..Especially when light hits them certain ways. Apples to apples comparison would definitely be best. Unfortunately with Ford we have to order these things before we can ever actually see them, which is turning out to be a terrible process. So if you're color blind, how can you tell any difference between any color?Yeah I almost mentioned I've seen this pic because I figured someone would post. I gotta just laugh at this. Like it or not, I'm taking that as a compliment. My next mav will be hot pepper red.Velocity blue was trashy, obnoxiously in your face.
There's different types of color blindness. Mine isn't true color blindness, its technically a color deficiency. I have problems with red and green apparently. I cam see colors but I don't see the same shades as normal vision. Also if you out something red in grass I have a hard time finding it.Apples to apples comparison would definitely be best.
