Yup, the Maverick is an open canvas to modify it, add accessories, and make it your own. My Hot Pepper Red Maverick is a continuous work in progress. Here’s a few pics of what I’ve done so far. I added the bug deflector and lettering on it. Put on the rain deflectors, sill plate protectors, fingernail bowl protectors, and tailgate lettering. I bought the Bushwacker fender flares and hood scoop, both of which are in the paint shop. They should be done and on the truck sometime next week. I didn’t want to put them on just black. I wanted them to look like they are part of the truck, not just added on pieces. I also added a bed rug from Real Truck. It makes it much easier to get things stored evenly inside the bed. Inside the truck, the only thing I’ve done is add the coffee brown knob covers so far and center console inserts. I’ll add more accessories after Christmas.

I love the silver lettering! I was thinking black, but I have now changed my mind! Of course, I may never see my Maverick. Missed ordering 22, ordered 23 - but I want a hybrid!

I've had a year to think about it, visualize, and watch what some of yall have done to your own truck.

This is what I decided to do to mine and so far I'm happy with it. For all those that are still waiting, hang in you won't be disappointed, then make that truck your own.

Looks good. I think black is a good rim choice. Reminds me of my S10 back in the day.

Ok ,lovemymaverick, i do like the red logo the CG really pops with red. As for the wheels ,I gave a brief description earlier in the post,it's pretty straight foward, just set aside a day for the job, unless you have good jack stands, I had to do one at a time. While you have the wheels off, you may want to paint the calipers, the red will show through the holes.

The grill bar is a 3/4 in.wide 1/8 aluminum strip I bought at lowes. I used .600 sand paper to put a fine finish on it,you will need to hand bend it to fit,but the front of the grill bar is the same curve as the hollow. You will need to cut or grind the radius to fit the Ford logo. I finished it in clear coat, but you want to paint it red, hey go for it. That's why we call it customizing.

Did you buy your tailgate letters from Ford or aftermarket?
