Called Ford today about my 2023 Maverick and why little new info. I got the letter back in Sept confirming my order, and almost nothing since. Called and was told that the order code is for an Explorer! I asked how I got the Maverick confirmation letter, and they could not explain it. Said call the dealer. Looks like it is totally screwed up now!

Called Ford today about my 2023 Maverick and why little new info. I got the letter back in Sept confirming my order, and almost nothing since. Called and was told that the order code is for an Explorer! I asked how I got the Maverick confirmation letter, and they could not explain it. Said call the dealer. Looks like it is totally screwed up now!
Pretty sure many dealers will place multiple orders with the same order code, ie the day's orders will be placed under one order code. We've seen it here before. Also, Ford customer service hasn't exactly been consistent with information so I wouldn't rely on them. I'm sure they have a hard time keeping employees like every other customer service entity and I'm sure turnover is high. Take a deep breath and contact your dealer.....

Yep, I agree with this. There was a Ranger with the same order code at my dealership. Got confusing at times when I was looking at my order status with the salesman. Your salesperson should be able to straighten it out quickly.

Yep, I agree with this. There was a Ranger with the same order code at my dealership. Got confusing at times when I was looking at my order status with the salesman. Your salesperson should be able to straighten it out quickly.

yep.... also work at a dealership, I have 7-8 vehicles with duplicate order numbers, sometimes it has to do with employee number along with first and last initial....., happens all the time

CALL THE DEALER! That's always the last line you hear from Ford Customer Service. My question is, Just what do I call the dealer?

You are early in the process to be impatient. Many 22 orders waited up to or longer than 1 year for order fulfillment. Some (orders of hybrids) are still waiting. If you ordered hybrid you will wait longer than Ecoboost. Orders with constrained items ( IE hitch, CP360) are less likely to be built. Priority level of your order and dealer allocations impact timing also.
