This probably wasn't worth a new thread, but I wanted to post something positive in the middle of all the pessimism.

With the change to daylight savings time, I finally had the Mav out at night, and on a back road (I avoid highways as much as possible) I was surprised when the high beams started turning themselves on when it was clear to do so, and turning off when another car approached. I had forgotten that feature was part of the 360 package, and as an older driver I can't tell you how useful that seems to me.

I expect this to fall quickly down the post list, but I wanted to contribute something positive. Sometimes it's the little things that you appreciate. I keep finding things to like about my car/truck/ute.

Love this thought.
I also am up in years and I too love this feature.
Second favorite is the ACC.

I have not yet received my truck but really looking forward to this feature. Driving at night is no longer a simple thing for me. My night vision is not what it used to be.

Just to clarify, auto LED high beams is standard on every Maverick built. It's not part of the optional Co-Pilot360 packages.

That's a standard feature. I've got that on my poor man's XLT. I like it too!

I am also older and overall, I like this feature. I still have not driven it at night much, about a dozen times, but I am finding the brights do not come on at dusk/nightfall as quickly as I would like, and I operate then manually until it is totally dark. This seems to me to be especially true where I live, and deer are at peak movement at that time.

Nice to hear that the auto-dim feature works well. I can't wait to try it out myself! LOL

You're fine. I've had a lot of obstacles in my life this past year and my Maverick and this club have been life-savers. I see a majority of people here who are happy to help anyone who asks for help or opinions on a thousand Maverick topics. My Maverick has become my hobby and acts not only as a diversion, but doing the mods has given me a sense of pride and confidence. All thanks to the members of this club and the reason for its existence; the Maverick.

I was surprised by how much I like this feature, and the quality of the headlights, on the Maverick.

Yes as we age our eyes really need those bright LED lights. When I switched my 81 to the new technology in lights I was really surprised how they lit up the road in front of me.

I finally got to experience the auto brights!!

And it feels like the regular beam is aimed higher than my previous cars- which explains why it feels like everyone is high-beaming me in my old Miata LOL...

It's one of the best features of the truck, honestly! Reacts very much like I would in similar situations. And, well, automatic headlights overall! I can ignore that dial entirely!

I completely agree. In fact, one of the first mods I looked into was adding fog lights, but as I experienced more night driving, I found the Maverick's LEDs to be sufficient to where I don't think I need the fog lights. Now, I don't get much fog where I'm located so others may need those fogs more so than I.
