My buyers order shows priority 10 but I just checked with Ford chat and they are showing priority 15. Why would they be different? Who would have changed it to 15 from 10? Also, who would be responsible for changing it to lower number when I get closer to having it scheduled?

Well I think at this point only roll over orders from 22 are supposed to be set to 10. Are you a roll over?

Pretty sure the dealer is the one who sets it to everything except 2.

Dealer moved it. No point in waiting to get it moved closer to scheduling. The only thing it does is help to get scheduled. So ask dealer now or let it go.

So if the dealer changed it to 15 after it was a 10 on the buyers order and Ford is showing a 15 will it do any good for me to ask the dealer to change it at this point? Ford won’t change it in their system will they?

The dealer controls it until Ford decides to take over to build.

Are you a rollover or a fresh ‘23 order?

I’m a fresh 23 order and I know it probably should be a 15 based on what I am seeing in this forum. I’m was a little confused as I thought the priority code was just a dealer thing and not a Ford thing.

Ford requested dealers to prioritize rollover MY22 orders, but ultimately it is under the dealers control. The priority code 10-19 is only within the dealer how I understand it. If a region and then dealer have an allocation it then goes by the dealer's priority code within it's orders.

All dealers are handling it their own way. Most are giving rollovers preferred priority (lower numbers like 10).…but they can do it however they want. The dealer I’m working with seems to be giving rollovers 10 and all new orders 19.

i would be happy with a 15 if you are a new order (Assuming that your dealer isnt giving every new order a 15….and even if they did, I wouldn’t be mad about that either).

I think ur thinking too much into this. Codes don’t matter in the bigger picture. Won’t help you or hurt you really. Specially if they put everyone at 15. Then it doesn’t matter at all.

The priority code is your place in line. It is under the dealers control. Until Ford schedules you the dealer can shuffle the codes around.

If Ford was going to schedule an order from your dealer and two orders were exactly the same, a 10 would be picked before 15. And a 15 before a 19 (in theory). But there are so many factors in the selection that I wouldn't sweat it. We saw in day 1 scheduling 19s get picked. I wouldn't overthink it too much.
