We are full time RVERS & technically FL residents (used to live in Anderson SC) but ordered our XL Hybrid with a tow hitch from Anderson SC Ford. New car sales mgr, Griffin, has been very helpful & we are hoping to receive our truck before we have to head south in November.

Ordered: 10/22/2021

Went into production 8/8 & stuck there until built on 9/29.

Awaiting shipment

Word of warning for those in the Charleston area. I ordered from palmetto ford in December 2021 and my truck came in recently. They immediately sold it to someone else without ever calling me (I’m sure for an ungodly markup). I got lucky and they had a cancelled order very similar to my build come in and I was able to take that one, but it’s the principal of it. If I hadn’t seen that my truck had arrived and called to check on it I’d never have had a truck. As an apology their starting offer was ONE free oil change. They also refused to match 0% APR from December, and said that was never an option so I got 1.9%. They did match my initial invoice price with no issues and took my incentive and gave a fair trade in price. Hopefully this was a genuine mistake like they claim but I have a hard time believing it

So just curious from any Maverick owners in the upstate: how long did it take from when your truck shipped from Mexico until it arrived at your dealer? I know the amount of time will vary but just trying to get a general idea. Thanks.

Thank you so much for all that information. It gives us an idea of the route that it takes and the time frame.

Seems like waiting for a car hauler in Columbia might take awhile... we have been watching your posts to see if your truck has been delivered to the dealer. 👍

We have an ETA of delivery to Anderson Ford between 10/27-11/2. According to CSX, our railcar just left Goodwell Oklahoma.

We wouldn't be so concerned about the delivery dates if it weren't for having to leave SC for a family commitment on 11/10 & we are not able to return until Thanksgiving. I think we'll be cutting it very close. 😢

I called Ford CS on Monday, they said ETA to the dealer is Oct. 30th. I called today, they said ETA to dealer is Oct. 22-28.
I have all the accessories ready to be installed: soft roll-up tonneau cover, rubber bed mat, LED bulbs for all lights not LED, tailgate soft close assist, wireless carplay, all-weather floor mats, extra tie down loops, windshield sun shield since my truck will be sitting in hot SC sun all day when parked in the driveway, and going to apply ceramic coating when I bring it home. I plan on having the two front door windows tinted same darkness as the rear door windows, but will have this done by a pro. I also bought solid chrome lugnuts to replace the 'capped' lugnuts that come with the truck. These factory lugnuts 'expand' over time and need to be replaced eventually.

Good luck on getting yours when you are in town. It's been a long wait and I am sure you are as excited as I am in seeing our trucks in person! I am just hoping the dealer won't pull any 'crap' when it's time to sell it to me at MSRP.

Wow, you are truly ready for your truck... We haven't purchased anything yet because we really just can't believe we are getting it but maybe now it's finally sinking in that this might really happen. Good tip about the lug nuts as we had no idea.

We are older folks and so our biggest concern now is to read the manual since the most modern vehicle we had was a 2007 and new vehicle technology is a mystery to us. Our full-time home and only vehicle right now is a 1994 Chevy G30 Roadtrek van and the only modern feature it has is power windows 🤣🤣 so we have a big learning curve and we've been watching YouTube videos on all this hybrid stuff.

Anyhow, hope your transaction goes smoothly and hope you get that long-awaited call from your dealer very soon 😊👍

I just retired last year from northern Michigan and moved to SC. I am also looking forward to many of the safety features this truck will have that I haven't experienced before. I traded in my 2018 Ford F150 XLT for this Maverick, just didn't need that much truck anymore. (It was my first truck and I fully enjoyed it, but hard to park and liked gas more than I wanted it too :)
