Introduction of a possible Maverick owner.

Hi y'all! I placed an order for a base, base level Atlas Blue XL on 9/20/22. I never thought I would buy a new car in my life, and never thought I would buy a Ford, tbh. Almost a year and a half ago, I bought a Mach-E Select AWD. I love it.

I don't need a truck, I don't even need another car, it just seemed like a good value proposition to me. I can, and totally will, wait. I hope it will be delivered in a year, with no model year roll over garbage or dealer funny business.

Thanks. I expect a very long wait. I'm just in a happy situation that I don't need the vehicle, and not even certain I will take delivery, but having a little hybrid trucklett where range isn't really a factor at that price point sounds useful to me. For the past 5 years I've had two vehicles, but since having the Mach-E, it's been my only car.

I expect the Maverick will actually not be exactly a daily driver for me, but be used for road trips that an EV with 200 miles of range are just not as convenient, or hauling/minor truck stuff. I expect to log sub 500 miles a month on average on the Maverick.

My Mach-E is pretty close to a perfect commuter car, quick, nice ride, decent tech, comfortable and economical fuel wise. Having it in the shop for a catastrophic hardware failure for a month led me to the belief that I should have another form of transportation. Hence the order, which I have confirmed is unscheduled clean.
