So the Maverick Van/Transit Connect is officially dead, right?

I’m a bit disappointed that it appears the third vehicle for Hermosillo, the V758 project sounds like it’s being abandoned. The idea of a Maverick sized cargo van - especially with a high roof - would have been a lot of fun with a lot of potential. Is there any official word from Ford that it’s dead or delayed?

I read an article a number of years ago that touted the Transit (maybe not the TC) as the vehicle that will save Ford. Sure seem to see a number of iterations on the street all the time. Work vehicles, passenger vans for hotels, cargo haulers, etc. (Have rode in a few hotel shuttle vans and boy those are nice!)

Why is losing what ostensibly seems to be a weak seller for a successful line a bad thing?

First i have heard of it. I saw spyshots a while back of a small van in europe.make on one the Maverick platform that doesnt look like a dustbuster and it will sell to every fleet as long as its priced like the Mav.
