Officially ordered my 2023 maverick today!!dealer has a stock number for it.

I did not add accessories as you all know that makes things complicated on getting it sooner than later, they did say the 2022 orders that were never built will be getting built as a 2023 now and do take priority over new orders...I will keep you guys updated

Also:

*No option to add AWD to the hybrid model as rumored

*The price only went up by around $800 from a year when I tried to order the 2022 model

I reordered my lariat. Went to a hybrid vs a fwd eb. Did add the black appearance. Was $2500 higher. I believe the black pkg is 1200.

Somewhat related question - My dealership put in my order as the wrong trim (I wanted a Lariat).

I'm assuming it's trivial to correct this in a few weeks and will not harm me? Like I don't need it fixed TODAY, I can wait cause they're probably super busy... right?

Impossible since the price of the Lariat trim alone went up $2465 versus a year ago.
My dealership did not do any mark up on the price like most are, so I got lucky.....I don't have to pay that extra $1,665

I put my order in. Any feedback to share on 2023 Maverick pricing? My salesperson says his dealership will sell at sticker but I should consider myself lucky because the dealership only makes $450 profit on a Maverick.

Truth or fiction? Any screaming deals being made out there?
I think most people are happy to get it at sticker. "Screaming Deals?" LOL, not going to happen.
Take sticker and feel lucky. Lots of dealers trying to mark them up $2 to 5k OVER sticker.

Not sure why I'm getting a good deal I'm not disagreeing with your price increase I just know myself I am not paying that.

Asking if there is truth to $450 dealer profit at sticker on a '23 Maverick
Maybe one of the people who work at a dealer could verify. All I can say is I have read several places that profit on a Maverick is very low. I read $200 one place. True? No idea.

As I understand it there are different ways dealers make money on a sale.
- profit on the actual sale
- money back from Ford on vehicles they need to move (not Maverick)
- kick back from financing
- add on sales like bed liner, floor mats, window tint, etc

But all that is just from what I have read here and elsewhere. So just my speculation. But I would think it is quite possible that a dealer only makes $450 on the sale of a Maverick. And maybe that $450 is what the salesman makes, not the dealer. Again I've no idea for sure.

I already emailed my dealer to put some of the lariat lux options back: copilot assist and remote start. The bedliner is planned to be installed after delivery. At least I’m the first ordered and not the last.

I got mine changed.

I debated on remote start, but I don't live in cold weather so don't need it.

I am also going to get the liner externally. I think LineX does a good job from what I hear and they offer UV protection and a good warranty.

You should consider keeping the Copilot assist. It's the self driving esque shit for only $700 if you've already got lariat lux and base copilot. Probably help resale too I dunno

I did just that. Twice already. Asking if there is truth to $450 dealer profit at sticker on a '23 Maverick or is the salesperson drinking the sales managers Kool-Aid.
On paper there's only $444 gross on a base Maverick XL. Plus what they're making on documentation fee, if they get any reserve from financing. But then you're starting to get deeper into the murkier numbers like holdback and needing to factor actual costs as well if you're trying to solve for profit.
