The thing is that most vehicle can be improved upon through modification. But there are limits. Can it offroad, yes I believe it can. That bar wont help much and could actually hurt. A lift is most important, and good tall tires, Trimming low hanging plastic off of the bumper would be good. For lighting I would mount slim lights in a modified grille for best effect, while retaining aerodynamics. The thing with theses bars is that they only protect you from very small branches that could potentially break your plastic grille. But I would just recommend not driving into too many shrub bushes.

Theres a kit out now to add lights to the stock grille. Not sure why anyone would need to spend the money on this particular kit, but this is kinda a cool idea to do something with your own sourced parts. Kit here.

Not really a kit, just a light bar they are claiming is for the Maverick. You can see it's just a light bar that they drilled into the bumper plastic to mount. Any 20" curved light bar would mount up exactly the same..

If I were going with a light bar, I'd want one with brackets that tie back to some actual structure. Might add some complexity to the install, but mounting to the plastic only is just asking for trouble. Also the location of that one blocks the already poorly performing Intercooler. I wouldn't recommend anyone intentionally block that. And what if you need to use a front license plate, do you just mount the light bar below? Now you'd be blocking even more of the intercooler. I think there are better methods and places to mount a 20-30" light bar on the Maverick, we just haven't seen anyone come up with it yet because it will require some fab and cutting. Most want the cheap/easy install..

I believe the frame is different without the fx4 package. Without that, the tow hooks can't be easily mounted and thus, I believe, this will only work on fx4 optioned Mavericks. If that is fact where this mounts on the truck.
The frame is slightly different but that does not matter in the case of this nudge bar. This bar only mounts using the front of the tow hooks which is the same on all models, the rear of the tow hooks is what differs on FX4. In Rough Country's instructions, they install the nudge bar on a Bronco Sport model that does NOT have tow hooks. You can see how it mounts with only the front tow hook holes. The kicker is whether or not the lower subframe support is exactly the same on the Maverick. As there is a lower bolt that attaches the mounts there on a Bronco Sport. I believe this nudge bar would bolt right up on a Maverick but the tricky part is cutting the lower valance to allow the nudge bar to pass through. The Bronco Sport has a much slimmer/tapered lower valance that gives it greater approach angle compared to a Maverick. So it's hard to say where exactly the valance needs to be cut and how much to get everything to work out. The Mavericks lower valance is much boxier and protrudes further, which could cause interference with the nudge bar and require a substantial amount of trimming to avoid.

TLDR; I'm positive one could make this nudge bar work, but if it were a direct fit, I have a strong suspension Rough Country would already be advertising it for the Maverick. I would guess the bar itself will work, but the bracketry will be slightly tweaked for a Maverick specific version.

Yeah, I completely agree. I would never do that to my Mav, and especially not with an expensive kit like that. Just the idea of an aftermarket "off-road" bumper with an integrated light bar similar to that would be interesting, if done right.
