Built 8/12 then...?

I chatted with Ford today and it seems my 10/1/22 order was built 8/12/23 but still says in production and hasn't left the factory. Are they joy riding it in Mexico?

I especially like in the chat transcript below that she said the ETA for arrival is 8/29 - 9/4, then when I asked further it became undetermined.

Can Ford get anything right? Why is it so hard for them to provide accurate info emailed monthly instead of us having to chase down tidbits of questionable answers?

It is currently at our Ford Hermosillo Assembly, and its ETA for delivery is between Aug-29-2022 and Sep-04-2022. Joe: So it is finished being built, but still says in production? Has it been shipped already or is there a shipping date yet? I'm sorry but I'm a little confused : ( April: It is still listed as being in the production phase. It will then be updated to other phases as it progresses. Those phases are awaiting shipment, in transit, and delivered. It has not shipped yet. The ETA dates are estimated and can change based on specific factors related to your order and the plant. I would recommend continuing to check back periodically for any updates, Joe. Joe: So the ETA for delivery between Aug-29-2022 and Sep-04-2022 mentioned above is probably inaccurate. April: Since the vehicle has not shipped yet it is likely that the ETA will change. Mine and quite a few others on here are in the same situation. It seems they were lacking in parts to complete the builds therefore we are in the “produced” status of the in production branch lol. It seems they have the pieces now, as newer builds have been completed and ready to ship.

Add me to this list as well. I went into production 8-5 and the truck was returned from the bodyshop on 8-10. No updates since. Ford marketing and dealer had no updates.

Interesting. I was built 8/25 and mine has already been received by the carrier, hasn’t shipped, but Ford no longer has it and CPS or UP has it; whatever rail. ETA of Sep 12-18 according to Ford and dealer as well.

Forgot to mention, mine is a Velocity Blue XL with only a moonroof and hitch. I wonder what part they are/were waiting for.

How do you know its waiting on a chip? Is it listed on the dealer specific tracker?

My dealer told me after doing research on their end, because I was sitting at “returned from Body Company” for weeks, which was odd. Others here on the forum have reported hearing a similar message.

On the ‘ordertrack.app’ site, when I went into Production in July, there were 181 vehicles in that status. Since then it has only steadily increased to today shows 393. Hoping to see the number drop soon hopefully reflecting they got some chips.

Do you know your " Secondary Status", mine seems to be on hold too. No change since 08-15.ordertrack says 397 in same status this evening.

I wonder at what point do they go back and finish the trucks that are almost completed, while they still have the parts to finish the others? Mine had modules and showed produced as of 8/10. Maybe @Ford Motor Company can shine some light.

My modules "popped" on 8-9, complete even with a 'tear tag' number. Only the BCE modules, not the PCM. This didn't seem that uncommon from others' comments. I checked again today and now they're all gone. This is one frustrating, wild ride.
