OK I am a newbie what are shutters, where are they located?

They're air control flaps, located behind the grill. They kind of look like Venetian blinds. Normally closed, I think. The recall has 4 of them removed to allow for more airflow. It would look like someone smiling with teeth missing....lol. I'm curious if the newer builds have this done at the factory. There are videos. Search for "Maverick shutter recall" if you're curious.

Nice truck! Could you take a peek and see if any of the front shutters were removed to comply with the recall? Maybe recent builds don't have the problem.

I looked and there are shutters top and bottom. They are open so I can see the radiator.

Just picked up my Maverick this evening from Coughlin Ford in Newark Ohio. I ordered it back on August 28th 2021 so it was just 5 days short of a year. Tyler has been a fantastic salesperson to deal with. He has stayed in contact with me letting me know about delays and constraints holding up my order. Offered me the option several times to change the order to get it quicker. I wanted what I wanted (XLT Hybrid Area 51, luxury & 360 packages) so I just waited it out.

Was going to just purchase it outright, but Tyler let me know that because my original order date was august last year that I was retroactively able to get the finance offer of 0% for 36 months thru Ford credit. What a pleasant surprise. Anyone who has had an order in for a long time like me should ask to see if they too can get this offer.

Love the truck so far with the trip home and to Red Lobster as my total experience so far.

I believe the people who ordered their trucks before the Zero% financing ended got grand fathered into the Zero%.

All documented recalls have to be completed before vehicle can be offered for sale. One not officially announced prior the the delivery (I believe not actually off the lot has to be done before dealer can release possession but he may have a problem after someone is behind the wheel).
