Auto dim rear view mirror Install tip to remove center console with sunroof

We tapped into the console light harness on the roof, not comfortable doing anything with the camera module due to potential warranty issues.

Here is a pic from another member CLH917 and thanks to him for showing the correct wires.

Which post is this from? I've got mine all torn apart trying to figure what each wire means, but I just don't know! Thanks!

I wanted to update this thread since my (and likely others) overhead console tabs were in a different location than the OPs. This type just takes some leverage on the rear corners rather than needing to release the metal locking tabs, since those aren't present with the sunglass holder version.

Great update and pictures, thanks!! So, if I have it right, for this model, you can pull the sun glass holder unit down from the front corners, so it pivots from the back, correct?

You will need to pry the unit down from the back (sunglass holder side, near the corners) and pivot on the front tabs just like into the OP, however there are no locks in the rear and those mounts are in a different location so you need to pry closer to the corners.

Found them…solid purple (hot)….black….(neutral)…once again thank you for your pictures

Thank you to the OP, I didn't know what the heck was going on as the other reference I saw had the sunglass holder and they just pulled it straight down.

Despite knowing about the metal clips, I still couldn't get a tool in there to push them, and ended ripping them off as well.

Here's the trick (see second photo), you can release the clips by opening the sunroof and looking through the crack between the air deflector and the headliner. You can see the 2 metal clips and push on them from here. This is also the spot (as the OP mentioned) where you can fish out the clip if they break off.
