Haha I have same feeling. Man the visibility is great in this little truck. Plus it’s so capable of “real” truck things you forget what you’re driving. I’m honestly as comfortable in this as I was our F150.

It feels like there is a good analogy for that statement but I'm not touching it. Remember its not the size that counts but how you use it.

The Maverick IS stupidly huge. Just because the American trucks surrounding it are obscenely and morbidly obese doesn't make the Maverick any less obese.

The Mav and SC are both very poorly designed adaptations of cars and are succeeding in the market only because there is no competition in the tiny truck space. I hope that changes. Till then I'll grimace and drive this horribly compromised SUV with a bed because it's the best I can get right now.

Maybe GM will show some imagination. Or the new Kia or VW small trucks that have been hinted at. Somebody please build something other than the Mav and SC fat pills.

I'm pretty sure the Maverick is about as small as you can make a truck while still passing safety standards and being just wide enough for plywood/drywall sheets (Which seems to be the bed standard).

What exactly are you looking for in a small truck? I guess I'm lacking in imagination like Ford and Hyundia . Are you looking for an open-backed station wagon? That would be cool I guess, but that would be a seriously compromised vehicle storage wise. I couldn't fit half the stuff I've hauled in that.
