Confirming if FOMOCO notifies you via email that your maverick was being built or did the dealer just called you up?
Could've sworn you the process was an email but from some stories it seems like no email was received in some situations - true?
Does the dealer get the same email if FOMOCO initiates the update?

Some people receive e-mails from Ford (and have all along). Others have never received any e-mails at all other than the initial "Thank you for the reservation." Why this is so is destined to remain cloaked in mystery.

As for dealers, some will contact you while others emulate the Sphinx. Why that is so rests entirely on the shoulders of the individual dealership and its practices (or lack thereof).

Personally was among those receiving no e-mails and also no contact from dealer. Relied entirely on periodic phone contact with Ford to glean information: (800) 334-4375.

Yes you should get an email from Ford letting you know your scheduled build week.

Then one letting you know your truck has been build with an ETA to your dealer.

I finally got mine yesterday

Would think something as simple as an email notification from Ford would have been the most basic of basics.

Atleast you was able to call and interact with someone which seems to be getting more and more rare these days also.

The one absolute that all of us have in common is the test of patients while we wait and daydream about what to do with our rides when they finally arrive like Christmas morning lol

At one point last fall the representative on the other end of the phone confided that an estimated 40% of orders were not receiving e-mails. Was and still am skeptical the percentage is quite that high but am living proof it's not zero.

Oh wow

I understand the Mav was an unexpected mega hit, but that's unacceptable customer service for anyone.. Especially active buyers not window shoppers at a dealer.

Someone at Ford should be designated to coordinate and fix this apparently simple issue.

I wound up being informed three times yesterday of my order being built: once when I dropped by the dealer to get the latest VRR, again when Ford emailed me an hour later and lastly when my salesman forwarded me the Ford email an hour after that.

Probably ought to add that I confirmed more than once with a Ford phone person that my e-mail address was in their system, was properly associated with my order, and was spelled correctly.

Congrats!
Mine was shipped two weeks ago and I was given the same timeframe for arrival to Chapman.
I wonder if my truck has actually been waiting for yours before getting sent out lol

I got my third email telling me I am not scheduled yet but they are working on it. They said I could contact the dealership an see what options I could drop to speed up the build date. They said I would receive another email in June.

Contacted Ford Chat again today. October base hybrid XL with only option a drop in bedliner. No build date or VIN. They said it is in order processing. Six months so far. I am not quite nervous, but thought I would at least have a build date by now. Can’t get much more basic of an order . I will try again in a couple weeks. Good luck to all who have build dates, especially the June/July/August/September folks.

Seems I read on these forums if the dealer you ordered from did not put your personal email in the system you will not get updated emails.

Some dealers inserted the salesperson work email so they get the info.

All I can tell you is that I just received an email from Ford corporate, informing me that my Maverick had been scheduled for production the week of May 16th...along with its VIN number.
I didn't sign-up for any special notifications, so I would assume everyone gets an email confirming production scheduling.
And, while I haven't heard from them, I also assume that my dealer was notified as well.
BTW, I am one of those who dropped the Lux-pkg option so as to expedite my order (Oct 2021).
I expect to take delv'y mid June.
We'll see.
