Passenger door lock missing?

So I take my Maverick into the dealership to have the driver door handle auto lock-unlock repaired because it stopped working on me a couple months ago and I picked it up today to find the passenger door locking mechanism missing. They said that's how it came into the dealership. NO I don't think so. I'm 99.9% sure there wasn't just a hole there. So any other Lariat owner's out there with a missing door lock? Or is it a cap that's missing?

I can't tell from this before image. Lock or cap?

In either case they need to fix it. Going to be a warranty claim for sure.

The first picture the handle appears to be chrome, the second picture it appears to be the same color as the truck, did something get changed?

I would say whoever told you that has no clue! How would you get into the truck if the battery was dead and you didn’t have anywhere to insert a key?! I didn’t realize that only one door on my truck has a place for a key until I looked this morning!

There is no key mechanism on the passenger door, only the driver's door, or at least there isn't on mine (no hole either).

Nope it's the same color. Just the light

Ok so I think they must have switched the handles on my truck because i dont have the key mechanism on the drivers side.

One of the first things they do when taking the vehicle in for servicing, is to check the mileage and do a walk around. If that's their policy, then it would have been noted then so likely it was fine when you brought it in.

Looks like they forgot to put the color matched caps back on the handles.

But there is no key mechanism on the drivers side now so i think they just put the handles on the wrong side.
