Performance Variant???

This truck is obviously electric. That's NOT an intercooler...just a small radiator in front of what is obviously insulation. Wheel covers to simulate full face wheels to improve aero and lowered ride height to improve range. There's a charge port directly behind the fuel filler. The holes in the rear bumper are just there to distract from the lack of an exhaust pipe.

THIS IS THE ELECTRIC MAVERICK.

<mic drop>
It may be a PHEV. It looks like a hybrid badge on the tailgate.

If this is a PHEV or EV, looks like my son will be getting gently used Maverick. I'd be all over this!

I personally hope of they are gonna do ANY EV stuff that it is either full or not at all. Every Phev I have driving has sucked in my opinion. They all had basically no range to the ev side and the gas side suffered for it so they didn't get decent gas milage either. I know there will be people who dis agree but that was my experience granted they were Mitsubishi PHEV that I drove and I haven't driven a ford one maybe they are alot better.

If you zoom in on the photos the bumper looks to be darkened post edit. I think this might be BS. Zoom in where the new tail pipes are supposed to be.

Eventually this was bound to come. I knew sometime down the line the Maverick would expand on its offerings. A street performance variant is a welcome addition. However, I would've loved to see a Raptor version but I don't see that happening because our market is too saturated considering there's already a Raptor of the F-150, Bronco, and new-gen Ranger. So a Maverick Raptor would be overkill but I think it would look pretty badass. It could represent an entry-level variant into someone who is thinking of getting a bigger Raptor down the line if they so choose. Or it could be an opportunity to get a Raptor in a small scale without the big price.

Dual exhaust = the sweet 2.7 liter V-6. We can dream can't we ;)
lol....that would be SWEET (but 100% not happening :() for sure! Loved both my 2.7 F150's, the 2.7EB is an absolute Rock Star engine!
