I needed 4 tires for my boat trailer and this would be the 3rd set of tires I’ve bought in the last 2 months, F250 tires and my ’68 Eldorado tires. The thought of shelling out more $$ for tires was making me sick 🤢 I called around and then I thought “what about the Ford dealer”? Sure enough they sell trailer tires ( I had no clue!)

I had 96,000+ FordPass points from buying my Maverick and signing up which would make a huge dent in the cost so I had a tough decision to make because I had all these Maverick accessories on my wish list🤔 In the end my my sensible ego won and I walked out with 4 tires mounted and balanced for $12.91! I know I’ll have enough points later to get those items but this was the smartest decision at this time😊 And to think I almost didn’t sign up for it😵💫

Nice clickbait title you got there, I was expecting you was somehow robbed by Ford or another bad dealer. This makes you sad does it? Go take a drive and get a bit of perspective.
I did want to make a point about taking advantage of the FordPass rewards. I had talked with someone who paid cash for his truck and didn’t understand any value to the rewards.

Look at you being practical! I am trying not to squander mine on something I don't need, but I also keep poring over pics of accessories!

I turned my ford points into maintenance/oil changes. Couldn't decide on accessories and whether or not they were truly needed. I knew I WOULD need oil changes though.

How in the world did you acquire 96,000 points? Do tell.

2 Mavericks and a massive $1000 repair bill due to running over a tire in the middle of the road at night. Ask how I know. It’s like $450-$500 at Fairway Ford though so it goes a long way.

Yes, it’s really strange but I have never bought accessories for any of my vehicles other than a key fob cover and a fiberglass tonneau for my F250! Now I am finding/wanting all these assessories for my Maverick! I think the MTC might have something to do with it Lol!

Yes, that was the debate between my practical self and my “wanna
look cool“ self LOL!

That was something else that played into my decision, not being able to decide on accessories. I have only added the tailgate assist And hood deflector.

Ok, let’s see if I can remember🤔 I got 200 for a new card, bought a FE Lariat Hybrid (a cancelled order) with accessories (76,000?), put the max down payment on the card and bought 2 tanks of gas. I think that was all.

The Ford service guy kept trying to convince me that I should use the card to buy the tires and get a bunch more points but the practical me decided no.

It wasn't me I like rewards, just not monthly payments
