Thanks for sharing this useful information.
I'm deciding to wait until 2023 to order a Maverick to see how the chip shortage pans out and what changes if any to the 2023 model. It's the worst time to try to buy a car right now. Given that Ford is going to make cars without essential chips is concerning. I don't want to get a car without the heated seats/steering wheel and wait out another year to hope it gets installed by then?! Or to consider dropping the luxury pkg just for the sake of getting a car sooner. Basically they are asking us to compromise our wish list on what we want in a car just to get it sooner rather than later. $40 K is a lot of money to dish out for an incomplete car.

Yes, I also have the same concern. It's the worst time to buy a vehicle or boat. Not only the much higher price, and also the bad service and quality.

But I still may place an order for the 2023 model. It won't kill me to wait for another year.

I put a deposit at Formula Ford in Pickering as well. Was told $1000 but only ended up putting $500. I was working with and junior sale rep, but the manager's name is Dean. Totally didn't think that I'd get a Mav this year as I put the deposit down on Feb 14th.

I don't know if this was a canceled custom order or a dealer order, it was placed Jan 19th and that it was schedule for week of Mar 21. Was also told that it should arrive in April. I don't think that's going to happen and was more sales speak than anything else. I do have a VIN and the Canadian tracking site when it works shows confirmed.

My order is for a XLT, Alto Blue, Lux (DIBL) FX4, 4K tow, CP360, Moonroof, full spare, protective film, manual rear window. There was no market adjustment, only additional fee was an admin fee of $399.
I may also have a similar package if I'd like to order an XLT. Just curiously how much was it before HST?

Thanks Kevin!
I just got an email from one dealer told me in stock Maverick XLT AWD with off road. The price is 44k before tax. I quoted on ford.ca the price is about 38k. So its around 6k higher.

should I take it?

I bought mine from Thorncrest. They have been around for a long long time (I knew them from the late 80's, but my first Ford from them). The problem is that all the dealers salespeople really don't know anything. They just want to sell you a car. For me, when I decided to order (August 1st of 2021), I made sure that the dealer I went to was big, their allocation was big, and seemed to not try and nickle and dime me. If I may suggest, try and talk to someone younger...I find the older sales reps aren't up to speed on new models and chances are you know more than they do. As for my experience with Thorncrest, it was pretty straight forward...they didn't screw me over, they didn't try and add anything under the radar. It took 6 months to get my Mav, and I had wished there was someone more tech savvy to shoot me an e-mail every week and tell me the status of the order. I am pretty sure if it was a younger rep, they would be doing this better and easier than say an older sales rep used to 'phone calls' and 'drop into the dealership to talk' kind of guys.

Seems high. My order is for a Hybrid XLT, Lux and 360. All in including taxes just shy of $41,000. Dealer in Victoria BC.

6 months to get the Maverick is not so bad at all. Currently I have to wait for at least 10 months.
I may consider to accept that 44k XLT.

I should add: Make sure you know more about your car than the sales rep. This will help in ordering and getting exactly what you want. I know we aren't privy to their allocations, but stuff like priority number, what's on the constraints lists, options to drop...etc. This will sort of make sure they know, that you know, that you are watching them and they won't try to screw you over.

XLT lux 360 off road plus cover would be over 40k from ford.ca

Any maverick is in stock may add extra 5k.

Absolutely we should know some details. Otherwise may be fooled by the sales. But the ford order system is good enough to prevent any faulty packages adding to the order.

I'm going to have a look at the Maverick tomorrow morning. 44k is much higher but it's still under the budget.

Is that pre tax? Any other options? Really depends on your situation. Do you need a new vehicle and can you afford the payment? I wouldn't go for it myself without thinking of what my payments would be

I priced matched with the Ford site was with in $100. There's a lot of options on this order. My order is for a EB XLT, Alto Blue, Lux (DIBL) FX4, 4K tow, CP360, Moonroof, full spare, protective film, manual rear window.

Yes after tax is $51k.
I test drive today and feel like its a toy car. Very compact but the power is ok.

I may go with the Lariat lux plus all packages that XLT has now and it's only 46k before tax.

For anybody in greater Toronto area, there is a white Maverick XL, 2.0 Ecoboost engine, AWD, with trifold tonneau cover, 400 W interverter, Co-pilot, hard drop in bedliner, all weather floor liners for sale at Vaughan, Pine Tree Ford Lincoln. You can ask for dealer Jerry Wang. I don't know the price but he told me it was available and sent pictures. This was sent to me on Friday so not sure if it's sold now.

Thanks for the information.
The 4K tow and off-road packages are mandatory for me. It's better to have the moon roof.
