Hi All,

New member, anticipating build of a maverick. Dealer has told me to look out for March so wanted to help curb the excitement and see what the spray in bed liner options are.

Where have the GTA folks taken their trucks? Been reading a few posts where not all shops have done a maverick so risk of plugging a hole, or drilling into the bed etc. so would like to see what shops have maverick experience.

Thanks!

Hi, my maverick should be here in early Mar. I have the factory bed liner. Do you know a good undercoat place in the GTA.
I bought Tuxmat floor liners and will order a BAK Revolver X4s Hard Rolling Tonneau Cover next week

Had to look up “GTA” (greater Toronto area?), so can’t advise on local places.

But look for a Line-X shop. We had ours Line-X’d last week, and couldn’t be happier with the job.

But be prepared before you have it done, and walk the shop manager through your expectations while you’re both standing looking at the truck bed.

Like, you want the whole tailgate done — apparently some have been disappointed that the lower corner pieces and edge weren’t sprayed. Apparently this is how Ford does it, according to those who had it done at the factory. Allegedly because spaying that area would mean it couldn’t be taken apart, or at least, not easily.

But most on this forum agree if you don’t spray those lower corners and edge, you’re just asking for scrapes and damage.

And then, point out all the holes that need to be plugged before spraying so they don’t get filled in. especially the threaded ones along the tops of the sides, where bed rails would go.

And all the rubber plugs and plastic bits and metal tie downs and screws should be removed before spraying.

A good experienced shop will already be planning to do all this — but doesn’t hurt to double-check.

And also, ask how they prepare the bed before applying the liner. Paint has to be roughed up enough so liner will adhere properly. Best shops use a cup grinder or other mechanical device, and don’t just have a guy hand-sanding it.

ive been doing my research on em, there was a place in sauga that does rhino liner, My parents got this on their silverado and did one hell of a great job. beat the living shit out of it. and still holding up amazingly. Next option is line X, I havent dealt specifically with it, but ive heard great things. both are about the same cost. and can quickly be done.
