I need to throw some sand bags in the truck to level out the ride. Any suggestion on total weight for that?

That makes no sense to me. Your mpg would suffer too. You can buy a 1" leveling kit that raises the front 1". Search the forum for info on the leveling kit.

Grey would have been my choice but I settled for one in need of an owner. I'm glad I didn't have to keep waiting. It was becoming something of an obsession.

You need to? The truck will self-destruct otherwise? Or you just think it's a good idea to carry dead weight around for the fun of it?

Have you actually experienced any issues that make you think it would be advantageous? Or just because you think it would look better?

I personally like the look of the rake on the Mav's plus its better for aerodynamics and mpg.

Adding weight to the rear and/or raising the front will not soften the ride one bit. Just leave it alone.

When I picked up my Maverick tires were set @36psi, I lowered to 35 & then 35 front 34 rear, this did make a difference in ride quality, not huge but a bit smoother.
