Metra Tweeter Adapters (72-5600 or 72-5601)?

Can anyone clarify which Metra speaker harness adapters work for the tweeters in our trucks? Is it the 72-5600 or the 72-5601's? I have seen a couple of threads that mention both.

You can make both work, but I’d go with the 5600…. There’s something different about the 5601 and I can’t pinpoint what it is…. You’ll just have to have patience when connecting them and make sure you’re lining up positive to positive, etc… (some of the 5600 adaptors have reversed polarity)

I’ve used both and tried swapping to see if I could hear/figure out the difference
