Sat email surprise..Delivery date pushed back...again

Ordered xlt hybrid June 2021. Original delivery date 2/10/2022. Pushed back to 05/20/2022. Then was moved back to 3/10/2022. Was contacted by dealer on 3/4/2022 and was told it was being off loaded from rail car in Georgia and be moved to trailer for final leg to dealership. Then tonight 3/5/2022 received email from Ford saying my delivery date has moved back to 5/22/2022 to ensure quality...literally wtf is going on

I ordered my Honda. At the end of the day, the dealership placed the order for you. Ford may have your name, but the dealer places the retail order the same as any Honda dealer.

Regardless, Ford is doing more to communicate to the customer.
No, they don't, we just purchased a 2022 Honda CR-V, no factory orders Asain manufacturers do not have a business model for this, which has its positives and negatives. But we told the dealer what color we wanted, and waited. Only took 2 months.

Have am email in to sales. The girl I have been working with will be in on Monday so she is pretty helpful, which makes me hopefully. If it's been pushed back great, but if you are already sending me an email how hard is it to include reason/reasons. I'm not buying a 100 dollar item here I am spending 30k and just feel that there should be more effort on ford's part. Just my opinion though.

Why do you think because you are spending 30K that a $100 part can't hold up your truck? With that logic, then those who have ordered MB, spending 70-80-100K shouldn't have to wait either...

Once Ford sends out the email to you telling you what the issue is, it's old news and something else could hold up your truck, do you want Ford to send you another email telling you what the other issue is? You want an email each time Ford knows the reason for the delay, if so you could get 10 a day.

Never said a part couldn't hold up my truck. And Ford has NEVER said what any of the hold ups are. THAT is the point. I can deal with delays but it is the LACK of communication. And yes. If it the spray in beeline issue since ford send out an email stating the date has been pushed back why not type one sentence as to why with an apology for the unforseen delay. I work in a customer oriented business and when people's orders don't come in on time we politely tell them what we know. Not count on them going to a form online searching for info.

You missed the point, Ford will NEVER say what is holding your truck up, as I wrote (you missed the whole point) if Ford sends you an email saying, your truck delay is a chip, then an hour later you could get another email saying your Truck is delayed because of paint, then another email saying that there is a bolt shortage, then another one saying battery shortage. The issues could be endless, and you would be happy with that? or would you be frustrated with all the emails... I know I would be upset, after a while, I wouldn't care just stop sending me emails.

I'm saying I think the shipping is taking longer because Ford is trying to get a patch for this bug.

I've got no evidence whatsoever for this, but just speculation.

Yes. Every email that ford sends with a delay notice should have some sort of reason. I.E. chip shortage. Or shipping delays due to carrier issues. Anything. But instead we get nothing.

Ooooooo ok. I do remember hearing something about the glowing catalytic converter. I'll have to look on YouTube and see if there is a video. Thank you.
