Or atleast a rwd based HD unibody like my comanches. I have 2 of em. Both have inline 6s and a payload of 2200lbs!! The unibody rails are strong enough to mount long arm suspension kits, obviously anything new would be IRS/IFS instead of solid like mine. But that wouldnt keep you from being able to have a serious A-arm setup. I really think we need hybrids trucks to become RWD based with wheel hub or diff style motors up front. It would work with the IFS cradle style. It keeps the heavier duty ladder style frame rails(even with unibody like how jeeps are) and the main payload over the main drive traction axle for stability and strength. Then have electrics up front for 4x4 action and stop and go and low speed unladen driving. Not to mention the packaging of using a simple 2wd trans with no tcase and using the inboard areas on either side of the driveline for batteries. So power only has to go from the alternator/generator to the mid ship batteries and then back forward to the front wheels or diff. It keeps all the sensitive electronics up front. and away from the business area of the truck that sees alot of abuse. I can just imagine if the batteries were under the bed that I wouldnt want to haul hazardous chemicals, compressed gasses, repeated loads of gravel and subsequent washing and flooding the bed cracks to clean em. You know like people who use their trucks for work do.Would like to see a body on frame mini truck so we could fit true 33's and hardcore suspensions and do some proper wheeling
