Aren't these numbers contrary to the numbers sold that we've been reading about? Just curious.

"A total of 40 percent of the total Ford Maverick pickups produced for the 2022 model year are Hybrids, while 60 percent of that product mix consists of 2.0L EcoBoost I-4 powered models, Ford Maverick Marketing Manager, Trevor Scott, told Ford Authority Executive Editor, Alex Luft, in a recent interview.

Through January, Ford has sold a total of 19,771 Mavericks, which means that roughly 11,862 are EcoBoost-powered models, as well as around 7,908 Hybrids. Regardless, the electrified version of the compact pickup proved to be incredibly popular, and actually made up the majority of Maverick sales in January, as Ford Authority reported earlier this month."

Even if they double production the next 6 months they wouldn’t hit 100,000 units.

Remember sales numbers lag production numbers. January production was about 8K. Which means roughly 30k produced in the first 4 months. If they can get to 10k a month and have the chips they could hit 100k.

I think the key term is ‘produced.’ The orders are 60% hybrid but the production has been 60% ICE.

I believe the orders were 60% hybrid when hybrid orders stopped. I'm sure they balanced out by the time EB orders stopped.

You guys trying to figure how many maverick ford can make are really not only making yourselves crazy you are grossly underestimating the numbers the Mexican plant can produce in my opinion.

Just look to the fusion, they were building as many as 300k there a year some years, there was such a demand for that car they still started building some in Michigan for a while. Point is that plant at capacity I’m betting could easily build 150k maverick and 100k bronco sport. It takes time to get efficiencies up to speed in the best of times on an assembly line, not add the Covid related supply chain problems and quality control measures instituted on an all new vehicle that you NEED to have no major problems with once it’s delivered.

My only complaint with ford motor company is their outdated Allocation system. I think they are doing a good job with getting this vehicle out. I mean how many months have they actually REALLY started to build them? 2? That’s not very long.

Much more production is going to Bronco Sports than Mavericks so the 150K Mav to 100K to Bronco Sports isn’t even close to demand, production or sales numbers. Bronco Sport is in top 10 US sales for SUV’s and they make more money on it.

Ok but that’s not really my point. Point is, Ford can build enough of these to satisfy demands easily once they are going good. Third year maverick will be a dime a dozen.
