i emailed my dealer every month. Last time he confirmed i have a VIN and it would be built in March.

While great news its just another round of being in the dark on build status... or if it gets pushed back, etc.

Frustrating experience, which is odd because its not a cheap item we should have a better way to track these things, especially since they have it in the US.

I drive by my dealer everyday on my way to work, no offset tags on the trucks that they have sitting in their lot. I went in about a month ago and asked my salesperson for the order number and since she has contacted me once a week to say there has been no further progress on my order. I thought I might at least get things from Ford Corporate, but not even junk mail. I keep thinking, "Ford knows how many orders, they know how many they can make in a day, surely they could give me a rough estimate of when I can expect deliver." But they don't seem to be putting those numbers out there do they.

Thanks for the link...just sent my note through it, hopefully I'll have the same luck as you! I'll update if I hear anything.
you should try, after i sent, the sales sent me the vin and built schedule 2 days after, and the CS from Ford canada hasnt reply on me anymore...it means the CS knows what they are doing......I just sent them on their site

https://www.ford.ca/help/contact/emailUs/
So here's my update:

Received a note from Ford Customer service (on the Family Day holiday no less!). Got too excited too quickly though, cause it seemed like I received a canned response:

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having a hard tracking your order. I and am more than happy to review this situation on your behalf you today.

Our records indicate that, while there is currently no ETA, it is still moving along through our production systems. Please keep in touch with xxx Ford for updates, as they will be able to view your order as well and can give you more accurate details.

Still worth a shot for others but for me it looks like I'm back in the waiting room with nothing but my order number. Thanks again for the suggestion!

Spoke with my dealer yesterday. He said I now have the first six digits of my VIN and that I should have more info in about 10 days. XLT, lux, 360 hybrid ordered last week of November.

I just stopped by my Dealer. Salesman doesn't really know anything. She brought out the Dealer Rep that places and placed my order, took my Deposit for retail orders. He looked at my order and said there were no constraints or flags to my order.... Which I ordered only a month ago tomorrow.
No constraints..... Constraints are being said everywhere.
I don't know what to think...

I asked mine this week if they received the memo from ford that the Americans are talking about (orders pushing to 2023 due to constrains such as 360, like mine has). He said no, and emphasized just being patient. Oh well.

I ordered Oct 24, Lariat Lux Hybrid. Dealer knows about as much as any other dealer, which is not much besides be patient. They field my emails and have been kind enough to tell me where I sit in the Hybrid que and the dealers average allocations each month. Makes me feel better as I wait

And yet another update:

Called my dealership to discuss the Ford 2022 "memo" and what I need to remove to better my chances of getting picked and he countered with the fact he just got my VIN and build date (Late Aug order).

I don't really know if OP's trick to emailing in did it or had a part in it, or if it was just 6 months waiting like most people, or both. Either way, thanks OP!

I hope it works out similar for all of you waiting as well!

That’s awesome news! I am October so still a ways away, but gives me hope.

You should be ok compared to the Nov and Dec orders but double check with your dealer on what was said in the memo:

Rovp or Covp for Canada, needs to be fully completed

Check your order and remove items that are constrained except hybrid and Lux package

Request to change priority level to higher

It won't hurt to take 20/30 min to chat with your dealer to clear these things up. Doing this should put you in the best position possible...of course stuff happens like allotments and shortages but at least make sure you did all you could to get selected and built!

You’re probably right.
I call them sometimes but they don’t seem to know much unfortunately (or aren’t willing to do more besides ask me to be patient). Im not planning to drop my constraint of copilot360 though - so could delay my basic XL I’m sure.
