I've covered this multiple times already, but here's the correct info how I used mine:

It DOES NOT MATTER when your truck will arrive or you take delivery! Look at the fine print on the mailer and you will see "Dealer, use VINCENT code xxxx". Make sure your offer Does NOT exclude Maverick anywhere on the offer mailer. If it does not exclude Maverick and has VINCENT instructions on there you need to take the next step BEFORE the Expiration date on mailer:

GO VISIT YOUR DEALER with the offer card. DO NOT call, email, or text- GO THERE! Sit down with sales rep who took your order (or sales manager as back up) and show them the offer card and ask/tell them to go to VINCENT data base and pull up YOUR account that is already there. Look at your account with them and you will see a line item for rebates and incentives that apply to you. There will be a check box on the line item for this offer and it MUST be checked for you to get discount. If it isn't already checked, make them check it right there in front of you and that is it. The rebate is now locked to your order and should show up on your purchase paperwork automatically and it doesn't matter if your Maverick arrives after coupon expiration date.

That is exactly what I did and passed that on here and others have confirmed it worked for them too. I don't know what will happen if they push your truck to a MY23 build, but people here have reported getting a replacement offer card with new expiration date if their build date got pushed out by Ford.
My dealer said they can't even do this until a VIN has been assigned.

I mean what good is it if you can't use it
As has been said, if you receive an offer like this anytime between your initial order and delivery, the offer will be in Ford's system, the dealer should see it (make sure to hold onto the mailer as well for reference) and be able to apply it without any hassle, regardless of the final delivery date.

When I got my truck the last version of this same offer had just been added - I hadn't even received the mailer, but Granger sprung it on me while I was doing my paperwork. There is absolutely no impact to the dealer, or incentive on their part to not get the offer to you.

I hear you, but my dealer (who is not local) and another poster to this thread are both having issues making this happen. To clarify when you did your PCO, was it:

1) At order time (prior to VIN assignment)
2) After VIN assignment but before window sticker was available
3) After window sticker generation but prior to build
4) After build but prior to delivery
5) At delivery

Hate to say it, but that is a flat out lie they told you. Is this a local dealer you can visit in person or did you place order remotely with out of town dealer? I sat with my local sales rep and had him click my rebate box in Vincent right after the fleet manager completed my order in WBDO system and had me review and sign it and walk it over to rep to complete my folder. Obviously I did NOT have a VIN assigned at that point!

I also asked for and received an OTD pricing sheet showing the -750 rebate and all total charges the same visit. My understanding is when your account is selected for the "Cash Reward" mailer, the item gets added to your VINCENT account in the process and all you need to do is Activate it when you meet the requirement of EITHER placing an order, OR taking new retail delivery from dealer stock by the expiration deadline. I had actually taken the mailer card to my dealer within days of receiving it in mail and asked if it was legit. I was shown the offer attached to my account right there with empty activation click box. Told them I wasn't going to actually order for another month and they said fine- just bring the mailer back and we'll do it when you order. 100% kept their word on that (y)

Now if you ordered out of your local area, I don't know how you call them out on the lie and force them to honor it. Also don't know how much time and emotional investment you want to make to get the -$750.00, but if it local, that's why I say GO THERE in person and don't call, email, or text- so they don't have a chance to BS you about anything that is spelled out in plain English on the offer card you got...

Good Luck on whatever you decide to do 🍀

I've bolded your post. This is what my dealer (non-local) told me, and the problem is the ORDER was made long ago (before the PCO was valid) AND I have not yet taken delivery. So, the issue I have is if the delivery date is past when the PCO expires (4/4/22).

Do you still have the card? Limitations says "Prior Purchases not eligible", but you only placed the order, not completed purchase right? The offer on card is already valid when you receive it and they are supposed to add it any time between order date and expiration of rebate. It literally should be sitting there in your Vincent account with that check box. I was told when my Mav arrives we would sit down and review Vincent account again to see if any new offers I was eligible for had been added and I would get them as we finalized my purchase paperwork. I told him in that case I would come back and check like every week for more discounts- and got 1 of these 🤨

Feel sorry for you guys having to deal with this remotely, but if you got the time and fight in you there should be a way to get them to honor it if you are meeting conditions of offer?

Ranchero - what I bolded from your post is pretty much word for word what the dealer stated to me in an email. That is, " meet the requirement of EITHER placing an order, OR taking new retail delivery from dealer stock by the expiration deadline. "

It is the interpretation that differs. Your interpretation is that means that at any time between order and delivery the dealer can activate the PCO. The dealers interpretation is that it wasn't done at order time and thus has to take place at RETAIL DELIVERY.

I don't know how to force this. I guess my plan is to wait it out a bit, as my vehicle is theoretically supposed to be produced the week of 2/7, so perhaps I will be doing the delivery prior to 4/4. If we start getting close to the 4/4 expiration, I guess I will have to have a tantrum with Ford and the dealer over this.

1st, let me clarify that for brevity I did not write that verbatim from the card (did not change meaning though). It actually says in entirety "Prior purchases not eligible. Place order or take new retail delivery from an authorized Ford or Lincoln Dealer's stock by 1/3/22. See dealer for details. Dealer: Claim in VINCENT using #38262 and customer ID."

So there it is in plain English. I underlined the part your dealer is ignoring in their argument. You are NOT taking delivery from his RETAIL STOCK- you placed a custom order instead. It could not be more clear. I can only speak to what I have been told, shown, and experienced working with my dealer. The frustrating part is the dealer isn't supposed to be a gatekeeper on this. The rebate comes directly from Ford, not the dealer's $ in any way. THAT was explained to me when I asked if they would take a financial hit honoring the coupon. Ford placed that incentive in YOUR account in VINCENT for you to use because of customer loyalty when you buy a vehicle from them.

I can't tell you what to do, just relaying my experience and what I was told and it seems to be valid based on my experience so far. Can't fathom a legit reason dealer isn't working with you on this. Only suggestion is find a polite but firm way to explain you believe there is a misunderstanding on their part and would they at least work with you by actually pulling up your account in VINCENT and confirm if this rebate line item is in your account and if so could they click to activate it to see if it's accepted and send you a screen shot of that? If it works and they save face a little without being combative- great(y) If they won't play ball on a simple legit request and you want to escalate maybe try to correspond with the sales manager and explain the misunderstanding and share your evidence of this with that person. If that doesn't work, escalate to Ford's Customer help line? Again if you have the time and energy for all that.

1 last thing, if you are working with 1 of the dealers offering some % off invoice, maybe consider it even and not worth fightin over? I'm paying MSRP with $299.00 fees and the little $750 sweetener so you are probably doing alright on your deal in the big picture. I'm retired and don't feel like traveling to fetch a vehicle and have the luxury of a cooperative local dealer we bought from before- so it's just different strokes for different folks here in the end ;)
