Make sure to change in the ABS module to know that you are using cruise control to this
ABS
760-03-02 0200 0000 0573

I drove about 100 or so miles yesterday and my fuel economy dropped significantly with the cruise control on and that code still set to not available for cruise control. That setting tells the ABS system cruise control is activated.

I enabled it last night and drove another 50 today with the cruise control on fuel economy and responsiveness was back. Most noticeable on inclines, it wasn't riding the brakes anywhere near as much.
Do you happen to know if the ABS change is necessary for hybrids?

Yes. It was confirmed page or 2 back from here that is the as built setting on a hybrid XLT that came with cruise control. It is also used on other Ford vehicles. That register just tells the ABS system what breaking instructions to use depending if you have no cruise control, cruise control or adaptive cruise control. There are 3 hex codes for that register I know of and each one corresponds to one of those 3 options.

Awesome, thanks. This is a LONG thread, with some outdated information. I've been taking notes before adding cruise to my truck, but the mixed quality of the information presents some challenges. Thanks for all of your hard work!

At some point I'll par out the codes I know work correctly into a separate thread in the DIY section. I agree especially on the brake issue. I don't now how much it affects the drive without cruise control on if any but if you do use cruise control extensively I can see it wearing out brake pads prematurely besides the fuel economy issues I was experiencing. I went from 30 - 31 MPG to 23 MPG with cruise control riding on the interstate. I did get it back up to 25 MPG once I switched to eco mode. Either way it shouldn't have been that much of a drop.

Today with the ABS setting changed I was back up the 30 - 31 MPG for the same drive though much shorter mileage but long enough to get a good accurate read on the MPG.

Yeah, maybe the @Administrator can eventually do a little cleanup to make this easier to follow--after the discovery and research phase is complete and all of the issues are sorted out.

I have been unable so far to write the ABS values. I get "Service procedure has been interrupted."

Are you doing it with the key in the on position but engine not running or doing it with the engine running?

You can make changes in either case at least on a 2.0L ecoboost, it might be a quirk of those hybrid systems is all?

I'd say check you don't have any DTCS in the ABS system. Clear them if they are, run a test and possibly a module reset then try writing it if everything checks out.

The IPC code at 720-02-02 doesn't need to be changed after all. I've checked a few as built IPC configs for other Mavericks with cruise control and 4.2 inch cluster screens. They all have different codes. All valid for my cluster and all show no difference externally on the screen. If it was a specific on off switch for the cluster on older non Maverick Fords it looks to be a depreciated option on Mavericks.

So we are down to 3 needed codes.
SCCM - 724-02-01 1258 6820 3050
For the correct switches after replacing the switches or putting a different wheel with the correct switches

ABS - 760-03-02 0200 0000 0573
Sets the braking to work correctly with cruise control

BCM - 726-04-05 CB28 8140 8872
Activates the cruise control functionality

Done all that several times, no DTCs.

It maybe the cable you are using then and the other possibility are you using forscan on windows in a virtual machine or through wine on a linux or macos ?

Windows 10 (native), OBDLinkEX which worked for writing the other two values.

Okay that is all good then. Just trying to rule out the obvious stuff first.

Other option is to try a different version of forscan if you aren't using the newest version or a beta version and see if that works.
