So after building and submitting an order recently as per guidelines of Ford site the staff at the dealership either tells me they can submit the order and wait to see what happens or that attempting to put in an order is a moot point as orders will not be accepted until this summer for 2023 model. Can anyone verify? Ford Customer care provided me with the dealers phone numbers within 500 miles who show they have a Maverick Hybrid in hand or in transit which could be available. As I assumed, all of these at 12+ dealerships are spoken for through previous orders so another waste of time. Individual dealers also display/advertise Maverick hybrids in stock without updating. Does anyone know the approximate best case scenario for the next window of ordering and approx delivery month and year?

Hybrid orders for 2022 are closed - there was a specific cut-off date in mid-November. There is a slim chance you could pick up one of a handful of 'stock' orders (dealer orders from the initial build weeks back in late August), but those are likely already mostly gone. You may also be lucky enough to stumble on a cancelled 'retail (customer)' order, however I doubt many who ordered the Hybrid are going to back out of their purchase.

Hybrid orders for 2023 will begin in August if I recall correctly, so if you aren't lucky enough to find a stock or cancelled order, it'll be end of next year before you get a Hybrid.

Also, if you do find a cancelled customer order don't be surprised to pay significant $ above the MSRP, most dealers are charging market adjustments of $3-5-10K depending on how shady/low they are willing to go to make a quick buck.

Also rumors from Ford is that the EcoBoost model ordering will also soon be closing - Possibly end of next month or February.

I didn't see the Nov deadline on Ford's build site. Does it do any good to build and suit order before August?

The order bank for the Hybrid for sure is closed until August 16th, At which time their website will blowup by to many people trying to get their build put into the system

Whether the bank is closed or open, does anyone know if there is any precedent to the orders put in before others? Local dealer tells me they are happy to submit my order but that its a moot point because it would just sit there. If I'm willing to wait isn't it best to just get the order put in?

There is no precedent for orders put in before others as many people here that ordered in June and are still not scheduled for production will tell you.
