The bad thing is that we as dealers don't have any control or sometimes get answers on what is the hold up on a vehicle and how long it will be before they release it.

We have a salesperson that has had a Bronco sitting in KC with no word for 2 months. We finally got the Region Rep to find out what was the build up but no timeline of how long it will take.
Appreciate the reply. Sounds like I have some decisions to make in a few weeks if my truck doesn’t show up. Was really looking forward to getting one of these trucks :( thought a June 19th order would not be an issue. It’s a shame.

Here's a puzzle for you build date gurus. The puzzle pieces are:
  • My hybrid was scheduled to be built 12/20/21. That changed to 1/3/22, then to 1/5/22.
  • My Ford Vehicle Order Tracking only has a date for "Order Confirmed" but does have a VIN.
  • My window sticker showed up yesterday with this date in the "Special Order" box"
Ford Maverick Delay between In Production and Built… 1640641900332
  • And, at my dealer's today, he gave me a printout showing truck "Sent to Plant" on 12/23/21.

So my question is, "What does all this mean?"

Does "Sent to Plant" mean that my production date (formerly pushed back to 1/8/21) has been moved forward to last week? Or does it mean something less beneficial?

I would say that 12/23 was your blend date. In my case the blend date was 12/9, truck was built 12/17, and shipped 12/19. Of course that is the last thing I’ve heard as the dealer has ignored my two requests for the rail car number. Good Luck!

Sent to Plant means that your VIN has been sent for Production.

Sent to Plant means that your VIN has been sent for Production.
Is that something that happens any particular amount of time before the build date? Or is it just something that can happen at any random time before the truck is built?

What I'm really trying to pin down here is whether the "Sent to Plant" date means anything in the context of the other dates given.

Tracker updated in last few hours on my end! My cactus grey XLT should be at the dealer around feb.1. Truck is getting line-x’d at a place near the dealer so it will be a bit longer before I take delivery!

My Maverick Lariat Hybrid w/Luxury Package was ordered on 7/6. The production date was scheduled 3 times with the week of 12/13 finally being the charm. The Ford Tracking system was updated to show an In Production date of 12/16 and an estimated delivery date of 1/24. On 12/17 my Modules were populated, which according to the information on this site, means the truck has been built. The tracking system has not updated as of today (12/23) to show that it has been built. I’m guessing that the spray-in bed liner might be the reason this hasn’t happened since that process has to happen after the truck has been built and before shipment. Anyone else noted a significant delay after your Modules have been populated between In Production and Built where a spray-in bed liner is part of the build?
Mine has a production week of 11/29 from an order in July. I got a gut feeling the soray in liner on my Lux Package is biting me in the butt right now. Has been scheduled but no activity for nearly a month on the tracking.

Is the mobile and the desktop version of ford tracker the same or does it take longer to sync? The mobile website version on my iphone just started showing as "built" on 12/27 and the desktop is still showing as "in production".

'Schedule to Day' looks like your build is currently scheduled for January 8th.

That's what I was thinking. But then when I saw the "Sent to Plant" entry I asked my salesman what he thought it meant. He said it meant that that was the day they started building it, so the other dates must have changed again.

He has been wrong about other things, though. Which is why I am asking here.

Sent to Plant means the VIN was sent to plant for production according to this site. My VIN was sent over on 12/13 and officialy considered in production on the dealer report on 12/20 ( vehicle entered body shop week of scheduled production) then was considered "produced" as in fully built on 12/21. On my end with the ford tracker its been "in production" until today 12/27 and it started showing as built for me for a few hours now. I am thinking that "sent to plant" is done about a week prior to beginning scheduled production.

Evidently Ford doesn't build them as the time the orders come in. I ordered the Lariat hybrid also but I just received a notice last week that mine will (supposedly) go into production on 2/21 and I ordered mine on June 23 ahead of July ( unless the calendar has changed). I ordered the luxury and 360 packages, maybe that's why. Who knows? It does kind of piss me off a little........but poop happens, then you die and somebody gets your stuff.

Sounds like me.

In production since 12/16. Modules popped 12/16. Still in production. Eta of 1/12/22.

Lariat Hybrid with 360, luxury, moonroof.

Dealer says it's just due to holidays. I don't buy that.
The plant is closed from 12/24 to 1/3, so yes the holidays are a factor.

I think some parts of the factory are still functioning . My Maverick just went from "In Production" to "built" today and is being scheduled for shipping.
