So after a few storms appear in Maine I can honestly say that the Maverick does great in snow, slush, ice and even deep snow. I've ran it in normal mode and even drove off the road in the some deep snow just to test out to test out the mud/ruts and sand mode. In normal mode the truck goes good for slush snow anything not thing not too deep. I've put it into slippery just to test out on some glare ice and even under medium acceleration did slip and I can honestly say It is better in the snow than the Chevy Colorado I used to own and the old Ford Ranger not the new style. Granted I have the off road package and mine came with the Falcon tires from the factory but in my experience the Maverick XLT FX4 is very good in the snow. Fir reference I am considering deep snow as 12in or more

I had an overnight at work this week and returned after/during a big store where the snow plows had pushed snow halfway up my doors. I clicked it into mud ruts mode and walked right out of it with 0 issues. Literally just turned on truck clicked in the mode and drove out. Gonna be a good truck for this winter definitely.

I have the Faulken tires that come on the off road package.. not sure if they are considered "optional" or not. I believe they are wild peaks

Hi fellow Mainer! Glad to hear my incoming Maverick will do great in the snow! I was also just able to snag an incoming Maverick to a dealer in NH and hoping to pick it up in a few weeks. What dealer did you get yours from?

ty! ty! That was my only concern about the maverick on snow..
They do the same thing at my place. They push all the snow into our driveway, we live in the corner of the block so yeah we talking about 1f to 2f high of accumulation of snow.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us (y)🙂

No problem if you have the off road mode then mud and ruts mode will be your savior. Also hopefully you get the Faulken tires. If it comes with Pirelli then won't be as good in the snow

Ya I saw your review on these tires my stock tires that I did this event on are the Faulken WildPeak AT3W 235s. So I guess I got lucky again cause all I have heard about those Pirelli scorpions that everyone else seems to have Got are how bad they were. I'm gonna stay on these tires till I need new ones but if they stay as good as they have been so far I might get them again of not theyni knight look into the o nes you got

But to answer your question on the tires more exactly I have the Faulken Wildpeak AT3W so if you get those Pereilli scorpions on delivery tell you dealer to swap them to either the Faulkens or another tire. From everything I have heard the scorpions are not hood even in rain so they won't help you at all in the winters
