I was curious if anyone knows of a dealer that isn't doing any markups on Mavericks. I have one ordered through Mac Haik, and they aren't doing any dealer markups for orders. BUT, I might need a vehicle sooner than I thought. So if yall know of one that stays or MSRP or below in Texas, PLEASE point me their way!

Thank you!

Randall Reed Ford isn't doing any markups on orders. Don't know about dealer inventory. The only Mavericks they have on their website are special orders sold units. Mine included.

I dont know of any dealers and believe me I've checked, that aren't charging 2000 to 3500 to even more for stock trucks. When you think about it, pretty crappy situation as many folks ordered 2 or 3 or decided they didnt want their verified order so then there is no chance that the dealership offers that truck to someone with an existing order at that dealer ( which is what SHOULD happen ) because getting someone else that DOESNT have an order and HASN'T been waiting for months will net them thousands more profit for the same product.

Sad that Ford doesn't do a better job of the whole ordering process - same situation with Broncos. There are literally hundreds of customers waiting for Bronco orders at my dealership for a year or more and last week someone declined a order cause they had ordered more than one and had already got theirs from another dealer a few months ago and it was sold for 7K over MSRP.

Even the more reputable dealerships such as Long McArthur Ford who have HUNDREDS of Maverick orders pending with no build dates yet don't offer refused customer orders to existing customers that are waiting - they add 2K to the MSRP and sell it to someone who wants to pay over MSRP.

When Ford decided to move to a "custom order" system they should have created some rules esp for vehicle with high demand / low supply such as Lighting , Bronco, Maverick, Mustang, Mach e for instance - no ordering 2,3,4, vehicles without deposits or no selling of vehicles over MSRP which would end this whole S. Show because it would be much easier to sell to someone already on your books with an order than whoring the truck out to the highest bidder. The system is totally being abused by dealers because of demand.

Geeze man that sucks to hear for sure. I am def kicking myself for canceling my day 1 Bronco order. I was expecting a kid and didn't need a 3rd vehicle, so I canceled my order back in Jan. I had no clue the market was going to go bananas like it did.

A few months ago, Five Star Ford of Dallas called me to offer a refused customer order. I did not want it, but I posted about it and a forum member bought it. The member did not say anything about mark-up. BUT market conditions have changed even since then so they may be doing mark-ups even if they weren't at the time.
I did just message my sales guy to say I would be interested in a refused hybrid customer order, should they get any. I didn't ask about mark-ups because I can wait for my (still unscheduled) order.

5 STAR RATED DEALER - THEY DO EXIST

I did ask about others ordering or buying Mavericks from their dealership and this is what I was told:

On custom (retail customer) orders the price is MSRP with no dealer add-ons, ADM or additional fees. The Doc Fee of $150 is required.

On Stock Maverick's for sale you will pay MSRP with no ADM but are required to purchase the dealer add-on package. The Doc Fee of $150 is required.

What is the dealer add on package? Also, do you have a contact for mr Scott? I would love to reach out!

AutoNation of Frisco running a deal like that seems new. When I ordered through Chapman in August, ANF was wanting a stupid mark up. Told them to pound sand , went to Chapman and delivered to Planet Ford of Dallas. Good to know things are better. Unless that "dealer add on" package is a rip off.

Scotts number is 972-335-5000 (Main) Ext: 5095

You can ask him what the "dealer add on package" entails and the cost.

OK so that is exactly my point. If AutoNation Ford Frisco TX has a bunch of unscheduled Maverick orders why would they have a "stock unit " at all ? How much is their "dealer add-on package" ??

My guess is that is the same thing as "limited availability" charge. Now I will certainly take your word that they are an above average dealership. Sadly the system that Ford Corporate has allowed creates a situation where the dealership that has taken an order for a vehicle from a customer that is waiting then can then take a refused order ( as there was no limit really how many orders could be placed with multiple dealers ) which may be EXACLY the same as a another customers order and sell it for much more over MSRP. Now if you told me they were selling the "stock units" for the same price as ordered ones and offered the refused to THIER order holders first - well then that would be fair however that's not what is happening.

This past weekend I was offered a Hybrid Lariat with Lux Package from a dealer in Miami if I was willing to pay 3500.00 over list plus a doc fee of 898.00 . Now do you suppose they have any customers that ordered a Hybrid Lux package in Area 51 that are still waiting for a build date - well by gosh I bet they do however the Ford "system" allows them to jump over the customers they took an order from and haven't fulfilled from the manufacturer ( Ford ) and offer someone that called that day the same vehicle for almost 4000.00 more. That is a sad system. Im still waiting on a build date for my truck that I ordered in early August. If my dealer happens to get an order cancellation for a Hybrid Lux before then, Im sure they will call me and let me know ........ NOT . Not a chance in &*&^.

Who said anything about a bunch of stock orders. Dealers were able to order stock units in July.

When I was picking up my Maverick I inquired if other Mavericks were on the same transport. Scott said only mine and one stock Maverick were on it and that the stock Maverick was already sold.

As for their "dealer add-on package" cost why don't you call them.

That’s why you order one and sign a purchase order IN PERSON at msrp.
