Re: front window. It does open. I didn't see the hinges at first. Was hoping for slider style. Cap shows out of stock on Ford accessories but dealer can order it with the part number. Installed it's just shy of $4k so pretty expensive. It also doesn't electronically lock just the metal key. Gas shocks are way over powered and it opens hard and fast.

Thanks for picking it up ang giving us the deets. These are all things that haven't really been reported, as far as I know. I guess I'll wait for another third party option. The low visibility is a deal breaker for me. It's really strange that they couldn't match up the windows better.

Agreed. The lip at the bottom front of the cap is obnoxiously thick. Could easily have been half that height and given a lot more rear vis.

$4k for such a small cap is beyond rediculous. I would definitely be waiting for the rest of the aftermarket to catch up on those.

I'll have to update with a picture of the tailgate, I got the black lettering in the stamped tailgate and it looks great but I was in a rush when I picked it up so this is what I have for pictures so far. I got the tailgate assist installed as well and I'm glad I did.

If you are looking to get the cap, they can order them despite the website listing them as unavailable. One thing to note the rear visibility out of the cap is quite simply TERRIBLE. The view towards the bottom is blocked and the result is there is a very narrow bar of view out the back. Also the window on the cap doesn't open so that nice powered window in the back is fun but useless. I'm personally cool with both but the amount of rear visibility was shocking coming from a F-150 with a regular sized cap.

Updates with more pictures tomorrow when it's light out.

The cap looks real nice but I won't have a cap again, with crew cab & a hard roll-up tonneau cover, so easy to see out.

Caps always restrict vision. My old pickup was side view only. You could see out of the rear view, but not much.

I like the overall look and am very comfortable using mirrors only for rear visibility, but the cost and design of this is horrible. I'll be waiting for something better. My Leer canopies have been great.

Sounds like you need some real truck mirrors.

If I end up with a Maverick it will look exactly like yours. FX4, rear window, VB. I plan on the cap aswell. I need it for my dogs. It dropping off the build and price had got me concerned so its good to know its available. However I was thinking about getting the contractor version and converting the doors to windows with a vent screen.

Speaking of screens how is the side window vents. Does it look adequate for keeping dogs cool if I have a fan running off the 12v in the bed?

I may wait for a aftermarket cap to come out before I buy a Maverick anyway. But yours looks great, VB is just plain good looking.

Will really need a cap for planned uses - this looks good but due to the tiny mis-placed front window thie SnugTop is not good (visibility). Will have to wait for other aftermarket caps - or reconsider my Mav purchase - looks like I have a lot of time to do that ☹
