26 Maverick hybrid infotainment question

I searched but couldn’t find anything on this topic. I have a 26 Maverick hybrid and I am not sure the text messaging system will ask me after reading the message if I want to reply to the message. My other cars always asked me this. I am not sure if there is a setting on my iPhone that will enable this or something in the infotainment system I have to do. Thanks

Yes it does (with Apple Car Play and your iPhone)...... I didn't need to make any changes to enable that feature..

^^ Is it enabled on your phone?

Settings > Notifications > Announce Notifications on your iPhone and toggling it on for CarPlay..


Ensure your Driving Focus isn't muting replies. Go to Settings > Focus > Driving and make sure it isn't overriding your notification settings.

I had same issue but it self resolved after I restarted my phone and reconnected it to the truck

My 2022, 2023, and now 2026 XLT/Lux Mavericks all asked me if I wanted to reply when I listened to a message via Apple CarPlay, and I made no changes to the trucks or iPhone to enable it.

Ya - but any XL, or all XLT/Lux's?
ETA: actually your tag line is great - spells it out.

Prior the XL/XLT had some separation from the Lariat, now 25/26 the XL has some separation from the XLT/Lariat.

Just pointing out the OP didn't mention what trim, perhaps unaware trim can very much make a difference with options, even settings if someone was trying to assist getting to one.
