This Paladin lower intake bar completely changed the front-end look of my Maverick at night while still keeping a clean OEM+ look during the day.

I’ve tried a lot of different aftermarket brands over the last couple years, but I keep coming back to @F150LEDs because their stuff actually fits correctly and feels made for the truck instead of being some random universal kit with “figure it out yourself” instructions lol. At this point most of the lighting on my Maverick is from them because everything has worked well together and the quality has been consistently solid.

The install itself was pretty straightforward too. I mainly took my time because I’m picky with wiring and didn’t want my engine bay looking like spaghetti afterward 😂

If you have an FX4 Maverick though, this install would honestly be even easier since the tow hook openings let you get your hands behind the bumper easier. My truck doesn’t have FX4 tow hooks so there were definitely a few “why are my hands too big for this” moments lol.

The video shows how I wired everything up, what the bar looks like during the day, and the actual nighttime light output. I always appreciate when people post real-world footage instead of only product photos, so I tried to show everything I would’ve wanted to see before buying it myself.

A few things I liked:
• super clean fitment
• wireless controller made wiring easier than expected
• brackets/hardware all felt quality
• insanely bright for a 20” bar
• still keeps the truck looking clean instead of overdone

At night this thing is seriously impressive. Huge difference on dark roads, camping trips, mountain drives, and trails. The combo beam pattern lights up both far ahead and the sides of the road really well so it actually feels useful instead of just looking bright in pictures.

Also somehow my dog accidentally matched the truck build perfectly in the video too — white, black, and bronze/brown 😂 apparently he committed to the color scheme too.

Overall just a super solid setup and definitely one of those mods where after installing it you immediately wonder why you didn’t do it sooner.

The Light bar came out looking great! I'll definitely be checking out F150 LEDs for any future light purchases.

Welcome to the forum man 🤝 first post too!!

Definitely check them out. I’ve been using a bunch of their stuff on my Maverick for a while now and it’s honestly been one of the few brands where everything actually fits right and works together well.

Here’s their Maverick catalog:
https://www.f150leds.com/collections/2022-ford-maverick

A lot of the products on there are already on my truck somewhere in my threads/videos too lol. If you ever have questions about any of the lights or installs feel free to ask. Once again welcome!

My only gripe is it blocks a decent portion of the intercooler, which is already less than efficient

Honestly that was one of my concerns too before installing it. The nice part is the Paladin bar sits pretty far forward in the lower intake and doesn’t fully cover the intercooler core itself, especially with the curved design following the opening instead of being one giant flat block across it.

I’ve also been monitoring temps/behavior pretty closely since I use the truck for long drives, mountain trips, camping, mountain roads, etc. and so far I haven’t noticed anything abnormal on the hybrid side.

I could definitely see it being a bigger concern on the EcoBoost trucks though since they rely much more heavily on the intercooler setup, especially if someone is tuned, towing often, or driving hard in hotter weather. The hybrid just doesn’t stress that system the same way under normal driving.

If I start noticing any issues during summer heat or longer climbs I’ll definitely update the thread though because I’d rather give real long-term feedback than act like every mod is magically perfect 😂🤝

I like these but how is it to do the 2026 with a different front grill area? I am a diode dynamics guy but I really like the wireless part of the F150 system.

It should honestly be the same on the 2025/2026 trucks. My buddy’s 2026 was actually parked right next to mine and we were looking at it while installing everything and the lower opening area is basically the same.

The wireless setup was honestly one of my favorite parts too. I ran the wiring by opening the fender liner and pulling the wire back through there, so none of the wiring had to run through the front grille area itself. Made everything come out way cleaner and easier to hide.

Unfortunately, I don’t see any indication that the light bar is road legal. Also wish that you could control the flood/spot lights separately. I have the JJC brackets, but still looking for a cleaner fog light install on my FX4.
