Hey Mav Land!

Just wanted to post a quick review of this soft glove box opener that I purchased from Amazon Canada.

Maxzina did it again with another great and affordable product!
It really gives the vehicle higher end look when your glove box doesn't slam down when it's full of stuff like mine.
Pretty happy with the purchase. If you want to see some more, I posted a video on tiktok but it's very easy to install.

Didn't post any pictures or images because it's really just a piston and hard to see but the video is pretty self-explanatory.

Feel free to follow me as well.
I'm not making any money off this. I'm doing this just for fun. FYI.

It is a nice touch. My 2023 Maverick hybrid XLT lux came with one.
Apparently they all came with them until MY2025. Ford's way of trying to save a few bucks I guess...

Even in Prior years it was hit or miss whether you got one or not. Kind of like the sound deadening/insulation pads between the front fenders that you can see when you open the driver's door. Some got them some didn't.
It's like, if the bin ran out while they were assembling your truck. You didn't get any.🤷‍♂️

Sound deadening👇 insulation pads.

No, not all 2024's had them. It seems they were subject to availability when the vehicles were built.

Another option is to buy the actual Ford part (LJ6Z-7806200-A) which is more expensive, but it's also not a Chinese knock-off.

how they can just do whatever they want to do.
Nice that Maxzina fills the void with their after market products. Most are even better than OEM... Just MHO

I get where you're coming from.
Ford isn't going to stop a production line for something like the glove box damper, that doesn't affect the use of the vehicle.

It doesn't change the look of the truck at all, and I can count the number of times I've had to open my glove box on 2 fingers. Once to put the window tint receipt in it and the other to put my tires receipt in there.

Agreed, still sucks!
It is because of the internet and forums such as this, that we find out about common problems with our Mavericks. Including things that were omitted during production. Such as glove box damper, fender deadening/insulation pads and who knows what else.
Example: Someone makes a thread, wanting to know what the little Nubs are on the side of their glove box.
I go out take a look at mine take a picture and show that I have a damper on mine. The ball is rolling.
I think automakers did this in the past but there was no cohesive group to pass on information in real time as there is today.

The removal of the HVAC dial temperature indicators as well on the MY/2022 May Production run as another example -
