I picked up this kit from OEM Plus Upgrades and it showed up in about 6 days. Just installed it on Friday and it's awesome!! Everything works great. I made a small mistake during installation and forgot to plug in one of the USB cables. Sam replied to my troubleshooting email in a few minutes. I'm very happy with this setup and the black Friday discount was nice! I installed myself and it took 2.5 hours but I've never done anything like this before. I think if I did it again I'd get it done closer to an hour. I hope it goes well for you!

I have a weird question for you. I installed Sam’s 8” kit. Everything is great, and a massive improvement over the factory system. I just am not a fan of the 12” display, and for my needs the 8” is perfect. However, today I noticed that I can’t use the steering wheel controls to answer/end calls with the respective buttons when CarPlay is connected. If I disable CarPlay and only connect via Bluetooth, things work properly. However, if CarPlay is connected, the same buttons work just fine for changing stations/songs. Tried with another iPhone, no change. I even performed a module master reset and updated my phone. Hoping it is an easy fix!

I am having the same issue. Any updates on a fix?

Auto on th12 inch display all the buttons work for answering calls and ending them. that sounds frustrating though.

None as of right now. I heard somewhere that with sync 4 the calls are routed through the tcu but was hoping for an eventual fix.

I finally got around to finishing the install I started on Sunday. Kind of a pain in the ass but totally worth it. It somehow made my B & O system sound even better and the wireless Android Auto connection is a good 3-4 times faster than any dongle I've used. For those who are concerned about it being too tall, it isn't at all. I'm 6 foot and can still see my center speaker on my dash in its entirety. The windshield is not blocked at all. 1000% recommended.

Is it possible to make Android Auto full screen or are you always stuck with the top and bottom bars from the Ford system?

You can expand to one app, such as maps only but you will always have top and bottom bars.

That's unfortunate - I dislike it when an OEM forces their interface around AA or CarPlay, it ruins the aesthetic.

Correct. It has built in wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay. It connects much faster than dongles as well.

I guess they did then! Saw reports throughout the thread of voice command and forward and back track buttons not working.
